It will be interesting to see if there are any changes made at half-time.

It would be great to see some of the younger players exposed to international football and exposed to one of the top ranked teams in the world.

A minute left in this baking first half.

Baking in Pinatar, that is. It's pretty grey in Cardiff.

Great chance by Wales as New Zealand panicked a bit.

Wales should to controlling the game like this from the start as they have shown they can do it.

Gemma Grainger has shouted to each of her players individually to tell them there are five minutes remaining in the first half.

"Let's have that focus," adds the Wales boss.

Rachel Rowe swings in a decent cross from the left, which New Zealand keeper Victoria Esson has to palm away.

The Ferns struggle to clear and Angharad James shoots from the area, but her effort is well blocked.

    Two chances in quick succession!

New Zealand's Elizabeth Anton lets fly with a long-range left-footed shot, which is well saved by Laura O'Sullivan.

Then from a deep cross from a quickly taken corner, Meikayla Moore heads over from a promising position.

New Zealand's best chances so far.

Natasha Harding has just received a ticking off from tonight's Slovakian officials for slowing down the taking of a New Zealand throw-in.

The Wales forward's response? "It's a friendly, you need to calm down."

Rhiannon Roberts launches a long throw into the New Zealand box and, after that is cleared, the Wales full-back wins a corner. She's had an excellent game so far.

Unfortunately for Wales, that corner is cleared too.

The game in Greece in September is huge.

With Slovenia dropping points against Greece, if Wales can get the victory out there against Greece then they only need to win one point against Slovenia at home to secure that play-off position which would create history for Wales as they've never finished in a play-off position.

I'm actually quite nervous already for that game!

And here are some Wales fans who have made the journey to Pinatar to cheer on their team.

From left to right, these are Kim and Gareth Wynne (parents of Wales player Megan Wynne) Lee James, Seren Thomas, Adrian Thomas, Llywela Thomas and Ian Campbell.

Gemma Grainger will be fairly pleased with what she has seen in the opening quarter of this game.

Wales have had one or two scary moments in their own defensive third, but they are beginning to take control and might have gone in front through Natasha Harding.

Angharad James, winning her 98th cap, has been busy alongside Sophie Ingle, with Wales on top in the midfield scrap.

The handful of Wales fans - who have come with flags from Llanidloes, Cardiff Met and Swansea among others - will be happy enough with what they have seen so far.

It's so hot in Pinatar, some fans have got their umbrellas out for some shade.

Time for a drinks break for the players.

Whenever the ball goes to Carrie Jones she's very dangerous.

At the moment New Zealand aren't posing a great threat to Wales in attack and Wales are ensuring they are dealing with anything thrown their way so far.

Apparently, it took New Zealand's team 42 hours and three flights to get to Pinatar for Saturday's game against Norway.

I'm sure they'll have the sympathy of those who've been caught up in all the travel disruption back home.

Great positional play by Natasha Harding- you expect to see the ball go into the back of the net, but she's just dragged it wide.

A glorious chance for Wales, and it's all about Sophie Ingle.

The Chelsea midfielder picks a superb, defence-splitting pass for Natasha Harding, who comes in from the right and controls the ball well before shooting just wide.

It looks like it took a deflection. Corner given but it sails past everyone.

Good support play again from Rhiannon Roberts there, there's a lot of space down there on the right-hand side and Wales are utilising it very well.

Rhiannon Roberts surges forward again, combining with Natasha Harding on Wales' right.

Gemma Grainger's side are starting to grow into this game now.
