GOAL! Union SG 1-0 Rangerspublished at 27 mins

    Teuma

Rangers just haven't been themselves these past few minutes and they've been deservedly punished.

The away defence make a mess of trying to get the ball back and Teuma smashes in the opener, beating Jon McLaughlin a bit too easily.

Union look more confident on the ball. You can see what they're looking to do. Anytime they get into the Rangers half, they're looking to get the ball down the sides.

Concern for Ryan Jack now as the Scotland midfielder goes down.

Looks like Union forward Adingra stepped on his toe. An accidental collision but looks a sore one.

    Alasdair Lamont

Malik Tillman, starting in a slightly different position to the one he came on against Livingston, has again looked bright.

He's happy to take the ball into feet in tight areas and is nimble enough to wriggle away from his man, but also looks more than prepared to put himself about when required.

Rabbi Matondo, starting on the right, hasn't been able to get into the game in the same manner so far.

Van der Hayden's eyes light up as he approaches the edge of the Rangers box, but John Lundstram is there again to make a good intervention.

He looks to have hurt himself in the process but the Liverpool-born midfielder is back on his feet.

Union look a bit nervous in and around the box. Rangers have settled better, they look a bit more dangerous. Union look a bit awestruck. They need to try and get a foothold in the game, the pressure is building.

Malik Tillman is really catching the eye early on.

The summer signing makes a yard for himself and tries one from 25 yards but again Moris is down low to gather.

Rangers are getting into their groove here as the ball is worked to James Sands, who lets fly from range and stings the palms of the home keeper.

Good start this from the Ibrox side.

    Union SG 0-0 Rangers

James Tavernier's first chance to bend a ball into the box comes from a deep free-kick.

The delivery is good but the Union defence get a head to it. Malik Tillman then dances to the byeline and has a cross of his own cut out at the near post.

  20. 'Rangers start with back three'published at 19:51 British Summer Time 2 August 2022

    Quote Message

I think Rangers have started with a back three, Lundstram and Sands either side of Goldson. There's a space in behind the midfield, and you don't want Union running at the back three. As soon as Jack steps forward, the space between midfield and defence is too great.
