    Football paid its respects to Queen Elizabeth II tonight following the return after weekend postponements, with appropriate tributes to the late monarch.

    There was plenty of drama to follow once the whistles blew on the field, with Sheffield United scoring in added time to extend their lead at the top, and Cardiff holding on to a 3-2 lead despite Middlesbrough's fightback.

    The rest of the Championship gets its chance to follow suit tomorrow night. We will have coverage of those games then.

    • Andy Cook's double helped Bradford to all three points over Tranmere and Crawley held on to beat Stockport 3-2.
    • An injury time goal from Matty Lund saw Salford claim victory over Harrogate.
    • Jacob Wakeling also struck in added time to give Swindon the win over Sutton.
    • Walsall v Colchester, Mansfield v Carlisle and Grimsby v Carlisle all ended in draws.

    The points are shared in the Lancashire derby.

    It's been an intense meeting at Deepdale, with both sides having chances to claim all three points in an entertaining game.

    While there was plenty of late tension, both goals came early on with Taylor Harwood-Bellis putting Burnley ahead before Jordan Storey hit back.

    Huddersfield had chances to win it themselves after captain Tom Lees equalised.

    Goals from Ryan Hedges and Dominic Hyam either side of the break earns Blackburn victory against Watford.

    The win moves the hosts above the Hornets in the table and into the top six.

    Cardiff's first-half attacking display is enough to earn them a welcome win on their travels.

    Callum O'Dowda, Mark Harris and Perry Ng scored to set up a comfortable lead but Boro responded after the break with two goals in as many minutes from Duncan Watmore and Rodrigo Muniz to set up a desperate finish.

    Steve Morison's side defended their way to all three points despite that fightback.
