Callum O'Dowda (4 mins)
Cardiff take the lead on Teesside, as Callum Robinson finds Callum O'Dowda with a ball in behind, and the Bluebirds midfielder beats Liam Roberts for the opener.
Players, coaches, staff, referees and fans across the EFL held minute's silences beforehand.
The national anthem was also played out too at some stadia.
And from what we've heard so far, impeccably observed.

And we are under way in most games across the English Football League tonight.
Queen Elizabeth II had a link with the national game throughout her 72-year reign, attending the World Cup final in 1966 and a string of FA Cup finals between 1953 and 1976.
Her first cup final was in 1953 when Blackpool beat Bolton 4-3 at Wembley, and her last appearance at the annual showpiece was in 1976 when Second Division Southampton beat Manchester United 1-0.
There is also a full fixture list in League Two, which includes bottom side Rochdale hosting competition leaders Leyton Orient.
Everyone is in action in League One tonight, with leaders Ipswich hosting Bristol Rovers while bottom side Burton Albion - with Dino Maamria in charge for the fist time - host second-placed Portsmouth.
There are six Championship fixtures to come tonight, including a Lancashire derby.
Kicking off at 19:45 BST
Then at 20:00 BST, Preston North End welcome Vincent Kompany's Burnley to Deepdale.
The English Football League returns this evening, after the postponement of last weekend's fixture programme following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.
Before the matches begin, clubs across the leagues will be paying tribute with a minute's silence, a rendition of the national anthem, and flags lowered to half-mast, while players could sport black armbands in a further show of respect.
