Watford should be ahead, but they now find themselves behind.

Vakrun Bayo had headed one wide from six yards and then Craig Cathcart hit the post from a corner and the Hornets come to rue those misses.

Scott Hogan does well down the right and pulls a super ball across the box where George Hall arrives from midfield and he slots it into the bottom corner.

It's a first Blues goal in just his fourth senior appearance for the 18-year-old local boy.

    Danel Sinani (16 mins)

Norwich have really come out firing this evening!

The Canaries have remained on the front foot, they have swarmed forward and Danel Sinani has made it two.

Josh Sargent fluffs his chance when in on goal but it is kept alive by Sinani, who cuts inside his marker and he fires home from six yards.

It's a second of the season for the Luxembourg midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Huddersfield.

  5. Johnrose fondly remembered at Swanseapublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 16 August 2022

    Swansea 2-0 Millwall

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

In the 2002-03 season, Swansea City looked for a long time like a club destined for non-league football.

They avoided relegation from what is now League Two courtesy of a final-day win over Hull City at Vetch Field, when Len Johnrose was one of their goalscorers.

Johnrose was coming towards the end of his career when he played for Swansea, and his spell in Wales was brief, but he will be long remembered for the part he played in ensuring the club avoided the drop.

Inspired in part perhaps by a rousing minute's applause in memory of Johnrose, who died this week, Swansea have made a spectacular start to this game, with goals from Ryan Manning and Michael Obafemi.

Not too shabby for Swansea. 2-0 up against Millwall inside 12 minutes!

    It's a fabulous finish, too.

Michael Obafemi twists and turns his marker before delivering a right-footed strike from the edge of the box.

    Burnley 0-0 Hull

Burnley should be 1-0 up against Hull, here.

Tobias Figueiredo slips which allows Jay Rodriguez space to run into the box.

But Hull keeper Matt Ingram makes a decent save to keep it goalless.

  20. Can Watford keep up their good start post-Dennis?published at 19:42 British Summer Time 16 August 2022

    Birmingham v Watford (19:45 BST)

    WatfordImage source, Getty Images

Three games and seven points has been an excellent start for new Watford boss Rob Edwards.

Victory tonight at Birmingham could take them top of the Championship for at least 24 hours with 100%ers Blackburn Rovers not in action this evening.

However, they will have to do it without Emmanuel Dennis, as last season's top scorer has now moved on to Nottingham Forest.

But Dennis did not score in either of his two Championship appearances and now the baton is passed to Ivory Coast forward Vakoun Bayo to take up the goalscoring slack.

Bayo makes his first start, the same as 18-year-old Colombian Yaser Asprilla in midfield.

And before you ask, he is not related for former Newcastle forward Faustino Asprilla!
