  4. Canaries need lift off from the bottom

    We were used to seeing Norwich City bottom of the Premier League last season. The Canaries spent 29 of the 38 matchdays propping up the rest.

    And after three games back in the Championship, they are once again in that position after a draw and two defeats.

    In this division, we're used to seeing them at the top. That is where they finished in both 2019 and 2021.

    Dean Smith's men welcome Huddersfield to Carrow Road and they are really in need of three points and lift off to the new campaign.

  5. Two fixtures down

    We're one game down in the Championship this evening and it's at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

    Coventry City had meant to be playing Wigan Athletic tonight but the pitch has been deemed unplayable by an independent assessor appointed by the EFL.

    Meanwhile, in League One, we're also a fixture down after Forest Green's match against Accrington was called off earlier this evening.

    That's down to a waterlogged pitch. British summers, eh?
