Anel Ahmedhodzic took his tally for the season to three with a double against Reading

That's as far as we go in here tonight.

It was a very good day for Sheffield United and defender Anel Ahmedhodzic in particular.

The Bosnia international scored two to give his side a thumping 4-0 home win over previous Championship leaders Reading and send Paul Heckingbottom's men top of the tree.

Norwich left it late to win at Birmingham City and go second, while Burnley beat Millwall 2-0 to go third.

QPR beat Hull City 3-1 to move up to fourth and Luton beat Cardiff 2-1 to record their second win in South Wales this month.

Watford claimed a stoppage time win over Middlesbrough as they marked 100 years at Vicarage Road with three points.

We'll be back tomorrow from 19:30 BST for coverage of five more Championship fixtures.

Hope you can join us then.

    Cheers!

    Watford 2-1 Middlesbrough

It's a fitting 100th birthday party for Vicarage Road, with Watford snatching victory with a late, late goal.

Rodrigo Muniz had given Middlesbrough the lead early in the first-half only for Ismaila Sarr to score an excellent equaliser.

For large parts of the second half it looked like Middlesbrough would be the most likely to grab all three points, but the Hornets had a sting in their tail with Vakoun Bayo scoring the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Watford are up to fourth with Middlesbrough now one point above the drop zone.

    QPR 3-1 Hull

All the work for this one was done in the first 45 minutes.

Ilias Chair, Ethan Laird and Chris Willock all got themselves on the scoresheet.

Tyler Smith pulled one back late on for the away side, who slip to their second defeat of the season.

When you get chance seek out Lyndon Dykes' miss in the second half for the home side. An absolute shocker but fortunately for him and QPR not an important one.

    Wigan 1-1 West Brom

The spoils are shared at The DW.

Josh Magennis opened the scoring for Wigan who reacted well following their heavy defeat at the weekend, but Karlan Grant's first-half effort is enough for The Baggies to pick up their second successive point on the road.

Both of the Royals' visits to South Yorkshire this season have ended 4-0 o the home side. Fortunately for Paul Ince, this is their last visit to the county for the season.

  19. CLOSE!published at 21:20 British Summer Time 30 August 2022

    Birmingham 1-1 Norwich

The visitors should have the lead.

Great play by substitute Onel Hernández driving down the left, gets to the goal line and pulls the ball back for Teemu Pukki, also off the bench, on the top of the six-yard box.

But Pukki slides his right-foot shot wide!

Was there the slightest nick off a defender as the ball came across that may have put him off?

Still, had to hit the target.

  20. goal
