Anni: At this point Bournemouth should be refunding their travelling fans. There's losing and then there's losing with a fight.

Eamonn: This could be 10 at Anfield!

Martyn: Enjoying the 5 Live commentary on the last train home from Tokyo - can Bobby get a hat-trick of goals to go with his hat-trick of assists before I reach my stop?!

It is 6-0 just now, Liverpool scored one in the second half. They should have scored three.

I'm just thinking, Match of the Day can only give 10 minutes of highlights for this game. They'll fit in the goals, but hardly any of the chances the home side are creating.

Bournemouth have had a couple of chances to score this afternoon - and Jefferson Lerma heads over the bar. Not sure I can see them bagging six tbf.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 27 August 2022

    Brentford 0-1 Everton

That's three times Brentford have hit the woodwork!

A throw-in causes chaos in the Everton defence and Christian Norgaard produced a clever turn and flicks it towards the net but it crashes off the bar.

    Everton still lead. Just.

Solly March is through one on one for Brighton... but his shot is straight at Illan Meslier. You need to score there.

Another Brighton chance but Pascal Gross turns Pervis Estupinan's cross wide.

    Liverpool 6-0 Bournemouth

    Dion Dublin
Former England striker on Final Score

I don't even know if Bournemouth are terrible because Liverpool have just been electric from the very start.

Liverpool have got to the stage where they can't drop their guard, like they have in their previous games and today they've not given Bournemouth anything.

The players have probably been embarrassed going into this game but they aren't now.

Luis DIaz finds Roberto Firmino and his shot rolls agonisingly wide of the far post. Well probably not agonising at 6-0.

    Brentford 0-1 Everton

It's been all Brentford in the opening stages of the second half but Everton are digging in. It would completely change their season if they can hold on for a first Premier League win.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORK - Chelseapublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 27 August 2022

    Chelsea 1-0 Leicester

Raheem Sterling has just got his first Chelsea goal and is so close to his second.

Marc Cucurella passes and it finds Sterling. He hits it low, side footed, but it clips the foot of Danny Ward and bounces off the inside of the post and away. Great save from the Leicester keeper.

    Pat Nevin

You wouldn't put it past Liverpool breaking the biggest win in Premier League history.

There is so little confidence in the Bournemouth defence and the small matter of the home side kicking towards the Kop now.

  13. Postpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 27 August 2022

    Liverpool 6-0 Bournemouth

This is the second time Liverpool have hit six in a Premier League game this year, also bashing Leeds 6-0 in February.

    Man City 0-2 Crystal Palace

Manchester City have a record of W0, D1, L0 when trailing at half-time in the Premier League this season.

There were no changes at the break but Julian Alvarez, who scored in a charity match against Barcelona in midweek, is warming up and appears to be getting ready to come on.

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales captain on Final Score

As a centre-half you've been there, facing your own goal and he's misjudged that Diaz would be offside.

He's reached out to stop it and it's not gone to plan.

    Wonderful cross from TAA though.

Three Premier League games have finished 9-0. Nobody has ever hit 10. Liverpool have about 40 minutes left.

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bournemouth changed their system to 5-4-1, I was going to say that was sensible.

Trent Alexander-Arnold puts the cross in, the defender puts it in. Good finish, but in the wrong net.

    Raheem Sterling (47 mins)

The 10 men of Chelsea are ahead and it's Raheem Sterling's first goal for the club following his summer move from Manchester City.

He gets the ball just outside the penalty area and his shot deflects off Daniel Amartey with the ball looping up and over the diving Danny Ward.
