  2. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

The three o'clock action is up and running...

  3. Lundstram red card 'harsh' - Van Bronckhorstpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells BBC Scotland: "After the two red cards, it was going to be very difficult. We couldn't keep the ball and it was all about defending. We work hard to try and avoid the goal against us but we just fell short.

[On Lundstram red card] "It's a tackle I've seen in the first-half, maybe even worse tackles. It's a physical game. If the ref wants to have a physical game and set the standards like that, he shouldn't have given the red card, because of the types of challenges we had to overcome in the first half.

"It was a bit harsh because he fouled him but there was no intention to hurt him. It wasn't a tackle with real force, it was a foul to avoid a transition moment. It could have been yellow as well."

"We shot ourselves in the foot in that action. You knew it would be a tough twenty minutes."

  4. 'Hibs need a couple of ready-made players'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 20 August 2022

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

Hibernian manager Lee Johnson tells BBC Sportsound: "Honestly, I thought we were poor in the first-half. that wasn't what I set out to be when I stepped through the door as Hibernian manager. I want to press, be really aggressive.

"At half-time, we just reinforced the philosophy, we have to play on the front foot, to be aggressive, we have an obligation to our fans to kick on and drive forward. I think that led to the incidents. I'm not saying they were all correct. I don't think there's was a penalty, I think we should have had a penalty. I don't think Lundstram's was a red card. The elbow (from Morelos) is probably a red.

"I'm not happy. There's more to do. We need a couple, a few ready-made players. I've now had a good look at the level. I expect us to compete far better than we did in the first half. I'm here to drive it, I'm not here to sugar-coat it.

"That spirit needs to be consistent from minute one to minute 97."

Kazeem Olaigbe and Yan Dhanda both come in for their first league starts, with Owura Edwards and Dominic Samuel dropping to the bench.

It looks like Derek McInnes has reverted to three at the back, making three changes to the eleven that were swept aside by Celtic last weekend.

Motherwell make just one change from their 3-2 win over Aberdeen last weekend.

Defender Bevis Mugabi begins on the bench with Ricki Lamie coming in to face his old club after his return from suspension.

Motherwell could hand a debut at some point to Stuart McKinstry, the Leeds winger having returned to his boyhood club on a season-long loan this week. He starts the game on the bench.

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 Rangers

    Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Giovanni van Bronckhorst can say what he wants about Willie Collum, but he has a lot more questions for his team. They were so flat today. Their recovery is usually excellent, but I didn't think they look sharp whatsoever. Hibs deserved a point in the end.
