    FT: Spurs 6-2 Leicester

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham's hat-trick hero Son-Heung-min to Sky Sports: "It was a top performance and I was really frustrated as well. The way I play I can do much better than I have been. I have been disappointed, the team has been doing really, really good but I was disappointed with my performance.

"It was a tough game at 3-2 and you never know in the Premier League. I wanted to do my best for the team. I will always try to do that when I play. I tried to help the team on the bench. I'm glad we won the game before the international break.

"My finishing has been poor this season. I've also been a little bit unlucky with an own goal, two offside goals and hitting the crossbar. I knew goals were coming and I wasn't worried. I've always had great supporters, team-mates and coaches behind me.

"I like to shoot from outside the box - I've practiced that since I was a kid. Even now after training, if I have time, I try to practice from that position and hitting the top corner. I'm really glad the ball finally went in!

"I was pretty sure I was onside for the hat-trick! I'm glad I've been able to help the team, that is really important and I can go to national duty with renewed energy.

"I'm getting emotional [about the support] to be honest. There has been amazing support and I've always felt like I've disappointed my team-mates and fans with my performances. They have always been supporting me."

Spurs showed more structure and applied themselves better and didn't allow Leicester as much freedom with the ball, blitzing that second half. They continue this run that they're on without playing blistering well, they're just getting the job done and winning matches.

Spurs have power players like Harry Kane and Son Heung-min that can score goals, I just feel that if they can be more consistent with their application from start to finish they can be a force to be reckoned with.

What an impact that Son Heung-min has made, he needs to be careful because Antonio Conte might drop him for the next game.

This is an example for any player that has been dropped, you don't mope, you come on to make a point and Son has done that.

Talk about making a point to your manager after leaving you out the team, is there a better way? Coming in off the bench, not just the goals but the way he's carrying himself, he's a professional with so much talent and confidence. Son Heung-min's responded to that situation superbly.

The VAR team see that Son Heung-min was actually onside as he ran onto that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg through ball.

Son races into the box, takes a few touches to set himself and then slots home. Danny Ward gets a touch but can't keep it out.

Speaking just before the fifth goal...

Wouldn't say that Leicester's head have dropped at any moment. From an ownership perspective you just look for those tell-tale signs, but there are real up points so it's not all doom and gloom for Leicester. But when you look at the table, the goals conceded and the points, that's what paints the bleak picture for Brendan Rodgers.

Just like the old days aka last season.

Harry Kane finds Son Heung-min, who cuts in and curls home a beauty from 25 yards. That's two goals for the season for Son.

    Spurs 4-2 Leicester

The offside flag spares Cristian Romero from going viral with this miss.

Harry Kane plays in Son Heung-min down the right. He crosses for Romero, who casually side-foots wide from six yards out. Completely unnmarked. Well wide.

But Son was offside so it wouldn't have counted.
