    Bournemouth 0-0 Brentford

Ooh. Ivan Toney cuts inside and his initial, curling strike is blocked. He gets it back on the edge of the box but Ryan Christie brings him down. Toney wants a penalty as he claims he was just inside but it's the right call from the referee. A huge chance for Brentford here though.

Tunde: It’s nice seeing Joel Matip and Van Dijk doing some nice dirty defensive work in the second half. It’s been ages since I've seen them lying on the floor blocking, shielding and defending the goal.

Still not much goal action in Bournemouth. It's like a chess game at the moment with neither side really taking any risks.

Having been sent off after ten mins does Chalobah watch this game thinking "Oh God! This is all my fault" or does he think "Ah well, we were going to get beat anyway"?

A standing ovation for Roberto Firmino after his brace inspired Liverpool's fight back.

Jurgen Klopp has strengthened his attack with the signings of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez in recent years but the Brazilian will be a hard man to drop with more of these kinds of displays.

Lots of comments of Liverpool dropping points in the first half. Let's remember Brighton are above Liverpool - it's Brighton dropping points!

Tunde: Roberto Firmino! You don’t say much about this guy which I think isn’t fair. He brings the best out of other players around him and also was at the forefront of Klopp’ pressing game. I know his form has deepen lately but he’s still class.

    Southampton 1-2 Everton

A superb corner from James Ward-Prowse and it causes Jordan Pickford problems, but the England man does well to get a fist to it to avoid it sneaking in under the crossbar. Southampton have been the better side since Everton took the lead.

Can Everton hang on? It would be a big three points for Frank Lampard's side if they do.

    Liverpool 3-2 Brighton

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on Final Score

Brighton were outstanding in the first half, Liverpool not playing good enough if they want to challenge for the title. Every time Brighton come forward they look like they going to score and carve Liverpool up, and that's a big concern.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 1 October 2022

Jurgen Klopp stands tall on the touchline, screaming at his team to make themselves feel big and show desire. He's desperate for them to pick up their level and keep these three points.
