Erling Haaland is rare with regards to his DNA, his mother was an athlete, his father was a top player. He's been brought up to do what he's doing right now, He just keeps it simple, thinks about goals and takes it from one game to the next.

Louis: I think it's pretty degrading that the media are suggesting that City will wipe the floor against the Saints. It's a very competitive division, must be heartening for players and fans to read this kind of content.
Anyway I think it'll be 4-0.

If Newcastle sneak into the Europa League, I think the players will start coming because they will see the direction Newcastle are heading.
The top players want to play in Europe, they want to be seen by the rest of the world and challenge the best teams.
If Newcastle can offer that this year, then you will see a different calibre of players in the seasons to come.

When you look at Graham Potter he doesn't have any real trophies but he is a fantastic tactician. Pep has told us that. I just feel the way that he has given new information to these players, adopted his systems against the opponents in front of him and made the necessary changes, those players have taken it on board incredibly well which just shows how well he is getting that message across and they seem to be getting better and better.
With the two of them together, Chelsea with the resources they have and Potter, the sky is the limit. I didn't think they would make the Champions League after such a poor start to the season. By the way, Thomas Tuchel didn't do a lot wrong last season, making two domestic finals, but it bad start and you're out. So Potter needs to keep winning but for the new owners, he's their man and I think he's going to have a big future there.

Lack of goals and lack of willingness to change things up [cost Bruno Lage his job].Yes he has been unfortunate with his number nine's with Hwang being injured and Saša Kalajdžić suffering a cruciate ligament injury after 45 minutes but you've got to adapt to the situation. You've had Traore on the bench who is unpredictable but unless you're playing him on the pitch, you've got very little creative spark.

Thomas Frank says competing against clubs with huge financial backing like Newcastle is "remarkable" for Brentford.
The Bees face Eddie Howe's side on Saturday and, after last year's takeover by a Saudi Arabia-backed consortium, they are now one of the world's richest clubs.
When asked if he is envious of the Magpies' finances, he said: "If you only speak about the finances, of course we know in football money talks. It’s a very important part. But the very good news is it’s not only about money all the time.
"It is very difficult to compete against the big money, that’s why we talk about the big six. It’s not only about their histories and the size of the club but mainly because they have a much larger budget than anyone else. Newcastle want to challenge that. There is no doubt Newcastle are aiming to be a top-six club in the future.
"Put that aside, us being the bottom-two budget club in the league it is remarkable what we are doing in many ways.
"If we have the money we have now and we are the same level [as Newcastle in a few years] it will be an even bigger miracle than it is now that we are competing."
Newcastle v Brentford (15:00 BST)
A Newcastle win today could take them into the Champions Leagues places (although that is dependent on other scores).
Their tally of 11 points after eight matches is eight more than they had at the same stage last season, when Steve Bruce left with the team 19th in the table.

Erling Haaland has everything. Rightly so, everyone in the Premier League is sitting back and enjoying watching what is arguably the world's best player at this time. What he's added to Manchester City is undeniable and it's hard to stop it.
You've got to take pride in your defending, especially one to one, and I can't imagine that Hasenhuttl with that back five will have done anything other than be really switched on. Mentally and physically, everyone has to be at their sharpest to stop Haaland today.
Man City v Southampton (15:00 BST)
Manchester City are the first club to score at least three goals in eight successive top-flight home matches since Spurs in 1965. The most recent team to do this in nine consecutive games was Wolves in 1959 (W7, D2).
City's tally of 29 goals is the joint-most after eight Premier League games, level with their own record from 2017-18. The most after nine fixtures is 33 by City in 2011-12
They have only lost one of their last 36 league games - 3-2 against Spurs in February.

City keeper Stefan Ortega saves a Haaland shot
I've just been watching Erling Haaland in a shooting drill, and it turns out he doesn't miss much in practice either... although City's sub keeper Stefan Ortega did push away one of his efforts.
By the way, the whole City team do a lot of shooting, not just Haaland. In six home games this season, City have had 118 shots. Fifty of them were on target, and 27 of them were goals.
They average a goal here every 20 minutes, and a shot every 4.5. Southampton keeper Gavin Bazunu could be in for a busy afternoon, but at least he is on familiar territory - the 20-year-old spent three years at City before joining Saints in the summer.

Those three games that Chelsea have played under Graham Potter so far, he's like a chameleon, the way that he keep changing the team is very clever.
Aubameyang is at the top of the team scoring the goals which is very important because they needed a goal scorer. Thiago at the back with his expertise as well, they are the sort of experienced players but within that they keep changing their system.
Pierre is a special talent, I didn't want to see him leave Arsenal. Of course they have moved on now and got Jesus who is doing exceptionally well but there's no doubt about it, he got Barcelona into the Champions League last year with his goals.
He will score a lot of goals wherever he is so that's a good player for them right now. They have a lot of youngsters in there at Chelsea, they need a senior player and a recognised goalscorer.

Haaland's goal record is incredible, his numbers are out of this world and maybe if you do get too tight, he can roll you. But the danger with Man City is that he scored a hat-trick last week and so did Phil Foden. The fact is, you can't just focus on one player and that's where you're caught between a rock and a hard place.

Wolves are very inconsistent. They obviously lack goals which I think they will get with Diego Costa.
When he came on last week he was giving defenders headaches. You could see they had a focal point.
It hasn’t helped with the injuries they’ve had. It will be interesting to se what the new manager does because there is a lot of talent in that Wolves team.
Chelsea v Wolves (15:00 BST)
Diego Costa made his Wolves debut last weekend, his first appearance since a Brazilian cup game in December.
He scored 52 goals in 89 Premier League games for Chelsea between 2014 and 2017.
Newcastle v Brentford (15:00 BST)
All seven previous Newcastle v Brentford games at St James' Park have all come in different decades - 1934, 1947, 1955, 1993, 2001, 2016, 2021.
That record will be ruined today. Boooo.
