Adam: Arsenal = the new ‘mentality monsters’?

Trent Alexander-Arnold is replaced by Joe Gomez at half-time.
Alexander-Arnold's defending was criticised for both goals, but he did have his ankle stood on at one stage so it might be an injury sub.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be fuming at the conclusion to that half. His team had worked so hard to get back into the game and get deservedly level, so to get hit on the counter from the edge of the opposition penalty in the dying seconds of the half is pretty much unforgivable.

Tom: Whatever happens in 2nd half one thing is clear, Liverpool are definitely fighting for top 4 this season and nowhere near the top 3 in the league.

That first 45 has lived up to expectation. Let's hope the second 45 does as well. That's proper football, that's entertainment. That's what we tune in for. It's just a joy to be here and watch it.

Fulham
Fulham boss Marco Silva to Sky Sports: "It is unbelievable how [Michail] Antonio is able to play the ball with his hand for the third goal. That is difficult for the referee because I couldn't see either. We took a risk at that point to play with heart but until the penalty, the way we started which was really good, we were the best team on the pitch definitely.
"After the penalty and some moments in the second half, we have to show maturity. I have just told my players that. We have to learn from these moments. More maturity today and we'd have won the game.
"Gianluca Scamacca didn't celebrate [for the second goal] because it was clear he thought it was handball.
"[Aleksandar] Mitrovic is really important for us but I don't want to just talk about him because it was more than just him missing today."

Saka floats in there at the back sticks and he taps in what is an easy goal for him. I was going to say that we haven't seen enough of Saka but we have now!
Bukayo Saka
Hello!
Liverpool have that free-kick I talked about and about 45 seconds Arsenal have scored.
It's cut out and Gabriel Jesus beats Thiago to carry the ball forward. Gabriel Martinelli runs down the left and plays a delightful ball to Bukayo Saka, who slides the ball into an empty net at the back post.

The Reds could take Arsenal to pieces here with even a hint of their true form. Even if Nunez, Trent and Alisson might not quite be the best in the world...

Oliver: I really don't understand why physios can't come on while the play continues. This happens in rugby. What's the problem? It'd prevent these incredibly annoying stoppages when players just sit down and expect the game to be stopped.
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
Good play from Takehiro Tomiyasu to cut out Virgil van Dijk's Hollywood ball out to Mohamed Salah.
