Rob: How come Jürgen Klopp is still in a job? Yet Thomas Tuchel didn't do much wrong.
Charlie: I shall look forward to Liverpool spending the next 30 odd years being relatively irrelevant if they sack Klopp. Could’ve won 3 league titles if not for fine margins against Pep’s City, with a fraction of the budget. Some of these so called “fans” are delusional.

Chris Smalling has put Jose Mourinho's Roma ahead against Lecce.

Danny: Love him or hate him that's a hell of an achievement for CR7!! Well done Sir!
Luke: 700 goals for Ronaldo's career, just shy of Haaland's total by the end of this season.

Mike: Haaland is great but Ronaldo is the GOAT. Haaland will have to score 43 goals every season for 16 years to catch up with him...
RegularJon: Oh look the washed up, past it problem just put us 2-1 up with his 700th club goal.
Mark: Vintage Ronny. Nice to see him with a smile on his face. He almost looks relieved.

Martin: Messi is better than Ronaldo and Pele got 757 club goals in 835 games!
DT: Ronaldo is a true great, never should be written off, 700 career club goals is just ridiculous!
John: I liked CR7's humble celebration at 2-1. After recent struggles an all-about-the-big-I-am 'SIIIIIU!!!' might have seemed faintly absurd, but I was glad to see the connection and solidarity with his team-mates.
Lewis: Everybody hating on Casemiro and Ronaldo, 5 minutes later, Casemiro sends Ronaldo through to score and take the lead.

Anon: Football experts eat your words CR legend.
Paolo: Love him or hate him! Ronaldo! Best player of all time!
Scott: That Ronaldo lad looks like a player, maybe United should start him rather than have him on the bench.

BBC Sport at Goodison Park
The Manchester United fans are in full voice now.
Ronaldo has scored two of his 700 goals at Goodison Park.
He was also on target here in an FA Cup win in 2005.
Everton 1-2 Man Utd
Records are quite sketchy on these kind of things. Josef Bican bagged a load of goals in Austria and Czechoslovakia (but nobody seems sure how many) and Pele and Romario both count all kinds of exhibition games in their '1,000 goal' tallies.
But we're fairly sure Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player to score 700 club goals in elite football.
Lionel Messi will probably get there this season - he's on 691.

Well done Nick, you can claim some credit for that goal
Nick: Too many fans of other clubs slating Casemiro, they don't know the game, he breaks play up expertly and ensures Man United have the ball for longs spells. He will show his class this season.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo gets the 700th club goal of his career. Casemiro wins the ball off Alex Iwobi and sets away Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo carries the ball into the box and slots past Jordan Pickford.
Good play by two Real Madrid legends.

Anon: Ronaldo’s petulance ruled that goal out. Too busy moaning he wasn’t passed to instead of getting back onside.
Nik: After watching two very good teams going at it in ARS-LIV, we now have the “spectacle” of two lousy teams mucking it up in EVE-MANU.
Colin: I like Martial. I really do. He has talent but you can’t rely on him. Utd need at least 2 strikers before next season starts
Nicholas: If Everton could actually keep possession they'd run rings around United. So open between the lines
