David Raya is an exceptional goalkeeper with his best years ahead of him and the potential to become Spain's first-choice for many years to come.

His value to Brentford is huge.

The Bees only lost nine times in the Premier League in the 24 games Raya played last season, but lost nine of the 14 matches he missed with injury in the middle of the campaign.

As well as being a great shot-stopper and having command of his defence, his other strength is quickly starting attacks.

After the Bees' 3-3 draw with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp said Raya "could wear the number 10 shirt. He sent several incredible balls".

Robert Sanchez and not just because I'm a Brighton supporter. Just look at the incredible saves he has made time and time again.

Every season he gets better and better and his form has greatly improved since his early Premier League games, even if he's made the odd mistake that leads to a goal.

Since stepping up to number one, he has commanded the goal area and helped us have a better all-round defence than Brentford.

Both Sanchez and David Raya play for the Spain national team, but that's where the similarities end.

Alexis Mac Allister is relishing his central role in Brighton's outstanding start to the season.

The Argentina midfielder has played every minute of Albion's eight Premier League games, scoring four goals in the process.

"It is a good moment for the club," he told BBC Radio Sussex said. "I'm really happy with the way Roberto de Zerbi is working and how he gets involved.

"He wants to transmit his passion to us and for us to enjoy the football. The way he wants to play is really interesting and we are working to get his ideas as quickly as possible.

"We know it won't be easy because he's quite different to Graham Potter's ideas, but it's still really good."

    Brentford v Brighton (20:00 BST)

This weekend Chris Sutton is up against Ian Broudie of the Lightning Seeds in the predictions.

Broudie has gone for a 2-1 win to Brentford, saying: "De Zerbi has come in and done quite well in his first couple of games.

"But I've seen it before where you tend to get this little dip after that, while the players stop doing what they did for the old boss and learn what the new manager wants them to do. Just for that reason I am going for Brentford."

After a bright start to the season, Brentford are on a bit of a poor run. They were absolutely walloped by Newcastle last week.

It is hard to know exactly what to expect from Brighton so soon after Roberto di Zerbi has taken charge, but they always pose a threat - and I think they will edge this one.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Brighton midfielder Adam Lallana - wearing a T-shirt paying tribute to retired Enock Mwepu - speaking to Sky Sports: "Tragic news. We found out three or four days ago. It puts a massive perspective on what really matters in life and gives the lads a huge incentive to get three points.

"It's been hugely exciting [Roberto de Zerbi's appointment]. Very stimulating for myself. We obviously want to get three points. We got a point at Anfield so I am looking forward to tonight.

"It's a lot more tactical, obviously more minutes on the pitch. It's been different and we have had to be open minded. He is extremely hands on in terms of the way he coaches. I am enjoying it and feel I can help him implement his ideas."

Thomas Frank has been reflecting on his time at Brentford, saying there have been more ups than downs.

Sunday will mark four years in charge of the Bees for Frank, who was asked in his pre-match press conference whether the job has been what he expected.

He said: "It has been more. Sometimes you go into a job and have dreams and ambitions but never know if you will achieve them.

"We could sit here for hours to talk about the journey. It has been a remarkable and unbelievable journey with ups and downs, but mainly ups.

"We – and I mean we – that’s me, my staff, everyone working at the club, the fans, the players have together created some magic moments that forever will be history in Brentford and I am very proud to be part of that."

Frank hopes the players can bounce back from last week's 5-1 defeat by Newcastle against Brighton and said a Friday night home game is the perfect opportunity to give the fans something to smile about.

He said: "We know that the fans are amazing but it is up to us also to create energy so we can bounce off each other and come flying out. A home game, under the floodlights, is very important."

On the 5-1 defeat at Newcastle he said: "It was a long 24 hours. We made some big mistakes in the game. It’s football and it happened but I will be very disappointed if we don’t come flying out tomorrow night under the floodlights at home."

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi speaking to Sky Sports: “We work well for four days and we are ready to play. We were sorry for the last two results (a defeat against Tottenham and draw with Liverpool) and we want to get points.

“It will be a difficult game because Brentford at home are difficult. We want to show our ability and quality. With our quality I think we will be able to play a good game.

“Enock Mwepu’s problem is different. We are not speaking about football but about life and I think my players will play every game for him.”

This is Brighton's first game since midfielder Enock Mwepu, 24, had to retire because of a hereditary heart condition.

"He's allowed to feel like his career has been taken away from him at such a young age," Fabrice Muamba, who suffered a cardiac arrest during a game in 2012, told BBC Sport.

"At the same time, his loved ones need him around now. It would have been a lot worse if something bad had happened to him during a game of football.

"It's better to be safe than sorry."

Boss Roberto di Zerbi, who never got to play Mwepu, said: "I'm very sorry. I wrote a message to him telling him I'll be here. I'm ready to help him."

Roberto de Zerbi has been impressed with what he has seen from Leandro Trossard so far and hopes he will become Brighton's leading Premier League goalscorer.

Trossard has scored three goals in De Zerbi's two games in charge so far, but the Seagulls boss wants the Belgian to consider more than just scoring goals.

"He is one of the best players in the team," said the Italian.

"I always want better and better and better and more and more and more. I think he can score more goals, but I don’t want his focus to only be on goals.

"For example, against Liverpool he scored three goals but against Tottenham, none. I want him to play well. The first thing is he has to play well and for the team. After we will look."

Trossard has scored 23 Premier League goals for Brighton and is just three behind Glenn Murray and Neal Maupay.

When asked if he hopes the Belgian will become the club's leading Premier League goalscorer, De Zerbi said: "I hope so and I want to help him. If he can score more goals he helps his team and the other players."

Back in 1998 this was a fourth tier game.
