Quote MessageLooking at the marginal differences, Celtic are up and running a little bit quicker than Rangers. At home, they have the nod but there's not a big difference between the two.
Celtic 0-0 Rangers
And away we go.
Nick Walsh is today's referee. It's the second time he's overseen this famous fixture.

Here come the teams. It's noisy. Very, very noisy.

Quote MessageRangers will want to play with a European-night performance in mind. They need to stop Celtic. Players like Kyogo and Jota can be unstoppable at times, but you can stop the service they get.

Quote MessageI would think Celtic will come out and go right after Rangers
Celtic v Rangers (12:30)
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou hopes to see a "good quality game" and a "good spectacle for everyone".
"It'll be a great atmosphere in here," he tells BBC Sportsound. "It won't be a dull start, put it that way.
"But it's not just about the beginning, it's about how we finish. We have a strong bench that can make an impact. Hopefully we can finish strong."
Celtic v Rangers (12:30)
Antonio Colak has made the dream start to his Rangers career, with his double against Ross County last Saturday taking his tally to seven goals.
The big striker has thrived on the big occasion, netting in both legs of the Champions League play-off with PSV Eindhoven, so how will he fare on his first Old Firm outing?
Celtic v Rangers (12:30)
Kyogo Furuhashi has six goals already this term and has put Celtic 1-0 up in each of their last four Premiership games.

Quote MessageTom Lawrence is a huge loss, he's impacted the team early in his Rangers career. It's allowed Giovanni van Bronckhorst to go back to a recognised system, a midfield three. It will be an intriguing affair. It's the start of a huge week for both clubs - an Old Firm derby and Champions League football. It doesn't get any better.

Quote MessageThat's probably the strongest team Ange Postecoglou could put out. There might be an argument about Starfelt or Jenz. Celtic are playing exceptionally well, they kept the intensity up midweek. They don't take their foot off the throttle. I'd expect that intensity today. they are the favourites.
Celtic v Rangers (12:30)
Neither team will be looking beyond this fixture, but both have absolutely huge games next week as they open their Champions League campaigns.
Real Madrid are at Celtic Park on Tuesday and Rangers visit Ajax on Wednesday.
Big time.

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells BBC Sportsound: "There are a lot of high stakes today. It's going to be really competitive but it's a game you need to enjoy as a player and manager.
"We're both attack-minded teams. I want my team to play our normal game."
On the inclusion of Steven Davis, and the absence of the injured Tom Lawrence, the Ibrox manager adds: "He's played these games before. He has the experience. We have many options with the squad we have, but not having Tom is a blow."
Celtic v Rangers (12:30)
There were five league and cup meetings in 2021-22, with each side claiming two wins, while their most recent encounter was a draw.
A Filip Helander header settled the first game at Ibrox, then Celtic turned on the style to win 3-0 at their patch in February.
A pivotal 2-1 victory for Celtic at Ibrox came in early April, quickly followed by Rangers' extra-time success in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The last encounter was a must-win for Rangers but Celtic maintained their six-point lead in a 1-1 draw on 1 May.

The big two have long had a big advantage over the rest in Scotland, given their huge support and financial clout.
No team outside the Old Firm has won the title since 1985 when Sir Alex Ferguson was working his magic at Aberdeen.
The Glasgow giants have been steamrollering others with even greater frequency of late, so it cranks up the pressure further in what are always high stakes derbies.
Celtic are unbeaten in 37 league games and Dundee United are the only side other than Celtic to beat Rangers in their last 81 league fixtures.

Goals away to Livingston and Hibs this season have taken Rangers captain James Tavernier to the 49 mark in the Scottish Premiership.
He'd love to get to 50 today but has only found the net once in 20 league appearances against Celtic.

Asked yesterday how much of a psychological boost a win and a five-point gap would be, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou replied with a firm: "Zero.
"If you look back this time last year we were probably four or five behind. I don’t buy into psychological boost stuff.
"I know other people do but I don’t get it. If we are going to be champions it’s over 38 games."
