With just the one EFL match on the agenda today, that's all from us this afternoon.

Thanks for joining us again this weekend. We'll be back on Tuesday night with part one of a bumper midweek set of fixtures across the Championship.

    Catch you then.

  2. Inconsistent Stoke stay 17thpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 2 October 2022

    FT: Stoke City 0-4 Watford

Plenty for Alex Neil to ponder after what turned into a bad day at the office for his Stoke side.

That was their heaviest defeat since January 2020 and means the team stay in 17th place just two points above the bottom three.

  3. Watford up to seventhpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 2 October 2022

    FT: Stoke City 0-4 Watford

As well as being the first win of Slaven Bilic's tenure, that victory was also Watford's first on the road since March and their first win with a clean sheet in nine matches.

The Hornets move up to seventh in the Championship table, one point off the play-off places.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 2 October 2022

    Stole City 0-4 Watford

A dream start to life at Watford for Slaven Bilic whose side produced a full-on thrashing of Stoke in the end.

Ismaila Sarr gave the visitors an early lead, before a trio of second-half goals from Ken Sema, Keinan Davis and Vakoun Bayo saw the Hornets race away with the win and all three points.

    Stoke City 0-4 Watford

We've got three minutes of added time to go although I think quite a few of the Stoke fans have already started to make their exit.

Not an afternoon to remember for Alex Neil's side.

  6. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Stoke City 0-4 Watford

Frustration creeping into Stoke now you feel, as Ben Wilmot gives a free-kick away on the edge of the box.

It puts pressure on keeper Josef Bursik again but he jumps up to clear the ball well.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 86 mins

    Stoke City 0-4 Watford

Double change for Watford as goalscorers Keinan Davis and Ken Sema go off, with Dan Gosling and Joseph Hungbo coming on.

David Ljunggren: Absolutely abject by Stoke. Bilic could not have asked for more accommodating opponents

  9. goal

GOAL: Stoke City 0-4 Watfordpublished at 84 mins

    Vakoun Bayo

Watford have totally run away with this!

What a start for Slaven Bilic as his side get their fourth through Vakoun Bayo, with what might have been his first touch of the match minutes after coming on.

Watford have so much time to get a cross in and Bayo taps it into the net at the far corner.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 81 mins

    Stoke City 0-3 Watford

There won't be any more goals today for Ismaila Sarr who is taken off with Vakoun Bayo coming on.

  11. CLOSE!published at 80 mins

    Stoke City 0-3 Watford

Eeesh that was almost 4-0 and Stoke really are falling apart now.

Aden Flint sloppily loses the ball and it ends up crossed in front of goal straight to Imran Louza, who somehow drags his shot inches wide of the post.

    Keinan Davis

And that will surely be that, as Keinan Davis gets Watford's third goal of the afternoon.

Josh Laurent gets his pockets picked in midfield by Ismaila Sarr and Ken Sema and Sarr races away.

He passes out wide to Davis on his left, who calmly strikes the ball beyond Josef Bursik into the corner.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

Second change for Stoke as Alex Neil tries to ignite something in his team with 15 minutes to go.

Dujon Sterling goes off as Harry Clarke comes on.

  14. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

Corner to Watford but this one doesn't worry Josef Bursik all that much as Keinan Davis sends a header beyond the post.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 71 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

First change for Stoke and it's up front as Dwight Gayle makes way for Tyrese Campbell.

  16. CLOSE!published at 69 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

Will Smallbone has a good chance to pull one back for Stoke with a shot from the edge of the box and he should be getting his shot on target at the very least, but it goes high over the bar.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 69 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

Not a good challenge from Francisco Sierralta who gets a yellow card for bringing down Liam Delap.

  18. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Stoke City 0-2 Watford

That was Ken Sema's second goal of the season after he scored in the home defeat by QPR at the end of August.

And it's a goal that should seal the points for Watford.

  19. goal

    Ken Sema

It's not the prettiest goal but Watford won't mind one bit.

The Stoke defence are all over the place. They try and clear the ball out of the box and instead kick it straight to Watford, who fire it straight back at them.

Keinan Davis can't quite get the ball beyond Josef Bursik but Ken Sema has darted into the area next to him and bundles it over the line.

    Stoke City 0-1 Watford

Keinan Davis combines with Hassane Kamara down the left and gets a cross away into the box, but Josef Bursik jumps up to collect it.

Watford still look the more dangerous threat when they press forward.
