    Preston should be 2-0 up.

    Sean Maguire puts in a swish flick and turn on the edge of the box and shoots low but it's just wide of the mark.

  2. Middlesbrough 1-0 Birmingham City

    Big block from Zack Steffen in the Boro goal, with what's probably been Birmingham's best chance of the match so far and it all came from a Middlesbrough mistake.

    A pass back to the keeper goes astray and gets picked up by Scott Hogan, but Steffan reacts quickly to deny him a goal.

    West Brom continuing to press against Preston but they're yet to have anything to show for it.

    Their latest effort on goal has seen John Swift turn in a corner into the North End box but Freddy Woodman punches it clear.

    A goal apiece, but are there more goals before the first half is done?

    Well Wigan have come close to restoring their lead against Hull after Max Power's free-kick is claimed, just, by Nathan Baxter.

    The midfielder gets himself into a one-on-one with keeper Viktor Johansson after a lovely long ball over the top, but his attempt hits the side of his boot, isn't on target and goes wide of the post.

    Middlesbrough, remember, have only won twice this season but you wouldn't know so far from the way they've been firing shots at goal.

    Matt Crooks is the latest to try yet his volley is saved by John Ruddy.

    Well they've looked the better side after Preston took the lead. Grady Diangana plays a one-two with Karlan Grant but his follow-up strike is off target.

    Goal scorer Dan Barlaser almost feeds in Chiedozie Ogbene, but his a shot from just outside the box blocked.

    Straight out of nowhere, Jay Rodriguez absolutely nails the ball from long range straight down the pipe, over the head of the Stoke keeper Joe Bursik and rattles the crossbar!

    The Potters were not expecting that.

    Better from Watford. They've not had much possession over the opening 20 minutes but there's a bit of spark there now and some intelligent play.

    Boro might be lucky here that Paddy McNair was only shown a yellow card, when Birmingham think it should have been red.

    McNair pulls on the shirt of Scott Hogan as he broke in behind the Boro defence. Juninho Bacuna takes the resulting free-kick but it goes wide.

    Nathan Tella with an early chance for Burnley.

    He looked like he was through for a one-on-one with the keeper but Stoke defender Dujon Sterling was there to put some pressure on and force a poor shot.
