    FT: England 2-1 USA

Elsewhere tonight, England beat USA for the first time since 2017 at a sold-out Wembley.

Manchester City winger Lauren Hemp, filling in as a central striker, put European champions England in front after just 10 minutes.

The USA responded when Sophia Smith fired in an equaliser, but England were awarded a penalty for a high boot on Lucy Bronze after referee Riem Hussein went to check the VAR monitor.

Georgia Stanway stepped up to make it 2-1, before the USA had a goal ruled out for a marginal offside minutes later.

That's two massive results in the space three days for Queens Park Rangers.

They have followed up their 1-0 win at league leaders Sheffield United on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory against Reading, coming back from a goal down to win at Loftus Road.

Andy Carroll gave the visitors the lead from the spot against the run of play after Tim Iroegbunam brought down Lucas Joao in the QPR box before birthday boy Lyndon Dykes equalised with a header just three minutes later.

Iroegbunam then atoned for his earlier error by winning a penalty for Rangers with six minutes remaining, with Dykes stepping up to score his second of the night and complete the turnaround.

    A close game.

Disappointment for Reading but there's no question QPR were the better side and finished stronger.

    Well deserved.

He tucked the penalty away well with a good deal of pace. Gave the keeper no chance.

What can Reading muster now? You wouldn't write them off yet.

    Could this be the winner?!

Lyndon Dykes steps up and drills it into the bottom right corner.

Joe Lumley dives the wrong way and probably wouldn't have saved it even if he'd guessed right.

What can Reading do from here?

    QPR 1-1 Reading

    Penalty to QPR!

The home work the ball around the area and then Tim Iroegbunam - the man who gave away the spot kick earlier - goes on a mazing run into the box to the left side.

Mamadou Loum comes across and makes the contact, clear penalty.

Commentator's curse. Osman Kakay has just overhit a cross from a good position with QPR breaking.

He then gets the ball in space and opts to shoot rather than running at the defender and snatches at it.

Nine minutes to go plus added time.

QPR have looked much more threatening down the right-hand side since Osman Kakay came on in the first half.

He whips in a couple of threatening crosses which are dealt with well by Rob Dickie and Tom McIntyre.

Reading have a very clear gameplan with these long throws.

Again Nesta Guinness-Walker looks for Andy Carroll and again he finds him.

This time the striker can only knock the ball behind for a goal kick.

There's a quick tempo to this game now.

Two big saves from Joe Lumley!

Ilias Chair floats a wonderful ball over the Reading defence on to the head of Tyler Roberts, whose header back across goal is saved brilliantly by Lumley.

Rangers then break forward again through Chair and this time he shoots himself, unleashing a wicked right-foot shot which is parried behind by the strong right hand of Lumley.

Two good chances for the hosts.
