What a save this is!
Birmingham goalkeeper John Ruddy pulls one right out of the top drawer as Cyrus Christie's header from a corner looks to be flying in.
Great stop from the ex-Norwich and Wolves man and the rebound is just too far away from Tigers striker Oscar Estupinan.
Hull City 0-1 Birmingham City
Birmingham boss John Eustace will be pleased with how his side have grown into this game.
Scott Hogan sends a looping header over the bar from Tahith Chong's clipped cross.
Hopefully Eustace didn't jump up when Troy Deeney opened the scoring because that looks like it would have been sore...
Hull City 0-1 Birmingham City
Has to be said there had been basically nothing in this game prior to that Blues goal from Troy Deeney's penalty.
Hull are very low on confidence and conceding the opening goal like that won't have done anything to have improved their collective mood.

Peter Swan
Former Hull City defender on BBC Radio Humberside
Yet again an individual error - nothing to do with how Hull have set up.
You can do as much coaching as you want but incidents like that throw it all out of the window.
Troy Deeney pen (14 mins)
Wallop!
Troy Deeney, a man not known for his subtlety, absolutely smashes the penalty into the back of the net.

You can't do that - you cannot do that.
It's a definite penalty.
Hull City 0-0 Birmingham City
Krystian Bielik goes down in the Hull area after a pull from Jacob Greaves from a corner and the referee gives the penalty.
Hull City 0-0 Birmingham City
That's a waste.
Hull City win the first corner of the game and big centre-back Tobias Figueiredo has got himself free at the near post but he totally mistimes his effort off his shoulder.

Hull City are of course currently without a permanent manager.
Owner Acun Ilali spoke to BBC Radio Humberside before the match about their process to bring in a replacement for Shota Arveladze.
On the pitch it's the home team doing most of the early running but, aside from that Greg Docherty shot into the side-netting in the opening few minutes, there's been no goalmouth action.
Hull City 0-0 Birmingham City
Arunit Chatterjee: Tony Pulis or Martin O'Neill worth a punt for me as Hull manager. Not sure how managers of their calibre are out of work for long, whereas Steve Bruce gets one club after another.
Funnily enough Bruce won two promotions to the Premier League with both of the teams in action today.

Oh, that's nice.
Some really nice play down the Hull right ends with Greg Docherty flashing a shot into the Birmingham side-netting.
He was teed up by a really clever backheel.
Hull City 0-0 Birmingham City
Hull City have won their past seven home games against Blues.
They'll be hoping to make it eight today as they look to move away from the bottom three.
The home side with the majority of the ball in the opening minutes but no chances.

Very belatedly, we are under way at the MKM Stadium.
Here we go.

Saturday recap
If today's match is anything like the action we saw in the Championship on Saturday then we are in for an absolute cracker.
Leaders Sheffield United held on to top spot after a crazy game at Bramall Lane against Blackpool.
The Blades raced into a 2-0 lead before the Seasiers mounted a stunning comeback to lead 3-2.
Michael Appleton's men then had two men sent off and Rhian Brewster hit the post with a penalty for the home side.
Oli Norwood smashed in a last-minute equaliser against the nine-man visitors but the drama wasn't over there, as home goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Blackpool forward Shayne Lavery were then sent off after the final whistle for their parts in a mass brawl.
Our more experienced readers may recall the infamous Battle of Bramall Lane in 2002 where a game against West Brom was abandoned after the home side had three men sent off and then lost a further two to injury.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Burnley beat Swansea 4-0 to go top, managerless West Brom won 2-0 at Reading to move out of the relegation zone and Watford beat third-placed Norwich 2-1.

Hull City v Birmingham City (15:20 BST)
If you're just joining us now and wondering why this game hasn't started it's because the referee noticed the goals were too big and they had to take them down and literally saw a bit off the bottom.
This isn't the first time this season that an EFL game has been beset with issues surrounding the size of the goals.
Cardiff City's Championship game at Wigan Athletic last week went ahead despite the goalmouths at the DW Stadium being different sizes.
It was established before kick-off that one goal frame was approximately two inches taller than the other.
Cardiff won the game 3-1,with Ryan Wintle's late third goal for the Bluebirds going in off the underside of the higher bar ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Hull City v Birmingham City (15:20 BST)
Hull City make four changes from the defeat at Huddersfield Town last week. Skipper Lewie Coyle is ruled out with illness so Jacob Greaves leads the side in his stead.
Birmingham make two changes from their 3-0 home success against Bristol City, including a recall for Juninho Bacuna.

Hull City v Birmingham City (15:20 BST)
If there was on thing that you'd hope a football club would be able to keep on top of it's the making sure the goalposts are regulation...
So, this game was meant to be kicking off right now but an issue with the size of the goals, external means that kick-off has been delayed by 20 minutes.
Anyway, goal-size aside, it's been a turbulent few weeks for Hull City.
The Tigers sacked Shota Arveladze after a poor run of form and talks with former Olympiakos boss Pedro Martins broke down at an advanced stage.
On the field they've claimed just one win from their past seven matches and start today a single point above the relegation zone.
Opponents Birmingham have found the past few seasons very heavy going in the second tier but there are encouraging signs under rookie boss John Eustace and they're after a third win in six today.
