How has that not gone in?!

Beth Mead slips Lauren Hemp in behind and the forward lifts the ball over the onrushing Czech goalkeeper Olivie Lukasova.

It hits the bottom of the post and comes out to Fran Kirby but the visitors manage to scramble it away!

    Incredible.

    Big chance for England!

Millie Bright finds Beth Mead with a great pass over the top.

The flag stays down but the keeper races out and gets a touch. Good goalkeeping. Mead's first touch perhaps took the ball away from her a little too much.

Mead's looked sharp since her introduction.

    This is much better.

Lucy Bronze put in a good ball but Lauren Hemp wasn't able to get the power on her header.

She's not known for her heading but for me, this is what we're going to miss the most when Ellen White isn't in the team.

    Good from England.

Lucy Bronze and Beth Mead combine well down the right. Mead's cross is a good one, too, finding Lauren Hemp, who is backtracking and can't keep her header down.

We'll have to wait and see if England increase their tempo and whether they've been told at half-time to try and shoot from distance or to keep finding those intricate areas.

Lucy Bronze, with space on the right, clips a cross into Lauren Hemp, who can only head up into the air and the goalkeeper comes out to punch.

Bright led England - now with Mead instead of Kelly - out before the Czech Republic showed any signs of re-emerging.

The hosts were in a huddle midway inside their own half by the time Necidova, Szewieczkova and Slajsova became the first of England's opponents to make their way back onto the pitch.

    Ian Wright speaking to ITV:

On Lauren James' first-half performance: "It's been a very good debut for her. We know what she's capable of and she's shown that.

"She glides past people and has been our best creative player tonight."

On England's first-half showing: "We've done some good things on the right-hand side but I think it's been quite slow and we just haven't found that last pass.

"We don't stretch teams enough and we've just not been ruthless enough in the final third. They need to liven it up!

"The tempo is significantly down but second-half I want that tempo. They need to excite the crowd and be quicker. "

Mary Earps received a fistbump as she made her way down the tunnel on a nervier night than the England goalkeeper might have expected.

There are five Czech Republic substitutes warming up on the pitch. No England replacements are out yet, but eight sprinklers and a football team of groundspeople are.

The Let Girls Play campaign t-shirts are proving very popular as they're fired into the crowd again, with people waving and bouncing up and down on their feet in a bid to be bestowed with one.

England have had some good flashes of play and opportunities to get in against the run of play.

They just haven't found that last shot, I would say they're almost trying to walk the ball into the back of the net.

A significant update from the World Cup play-offs.

With Switzerland's win in extra-time over Wales, the Swiss have qualified for next year's tournament.

Portugal, who beat Iceland 4-1, are in second place.

These results mean a win for the Republic of Ireland over Scotland would take them to the World Cup finals, while Scotland would need to win tonight by three clear goals to do likewise.

A win in normal or extra time by less than that and it's inter-continental play-off time for the Scots.

I think Lauren James is having a good game and she will be pleased so far with her performance.

She's had a good amount of time on the ball, she's not the quickest but they're struggling to handle her at the moment.

Bronze looked keen to rise to her feet straight away following a robust 50-50 challenge that sent her tumbling to the turf beyond the right-hand touchline.

She showed her experience by staying down for a few seconds to allow the pain to subside, causing a few sharp intakes of breath in the stands - and loud cheers when she motioned for the ball to take the subsequent throw-in.
