    Man City 0-0 Leicester

The flow of the game is disrupted by two stoppages in quick succession. The first is for a Leicester injury and the second is for a clash of heads. The physios rush out to tend to the players involved.

As at many Women's Super League games across the country this weekend, players here are joined together before kick off holding a banner which reads 'protect the players' after an investigation into the NWSL, the US women's league, highlighted 'systemic abuse' towards players.

    Man City 0-0 Leicester

Leicester keeper Kirstie Levell is guaranteed to be busy this afternoon. In fact, she already has been.

A wonderful stop low to her left denies City's Deyna Castellanos, who prods a cross from the left towards goal.

That leads to corner which Castellanos again meets but this time she can't find the target as her shot goes wide.

The attendance has just been announced.

There are 1,668 inside the ground - a record crowd for Walton Hall Park.

That includes a healthy number of Chelsea fans who spent parts of the first half chanting Emma Hayes' name.

    Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Liverpool

Tottenham have caused the real danger in the opening minutes of this game. They've seen plenty of the ball and put Liverpool under a lot of pressure in their defensive area.

    The visitors haven't clicked yet.

    All City so far.

Spurs' Celine Bizet tries her luck from distance. I think the best way to describe that effort is 'speculative'.

There's a decent crowd in here today, in fact the stand opposite the press box, where the dug outs are, is actually open. Sometimes when I've been here previously it's been closed.

It's great to see the WSL attracting good crowds. However, I appear to have chosen a seat in the press box which is right next to a group of fans absolutely hammering on a massive drum.

    Ear plugs, anyone?

This weekends' fixtures are the first league games to be played since an independent investigation found abuse "had become systemic" in the NWSL.

It has not been a perfect performance for United but this team clearly have the ability individually but also as today as proved collectively across the three units to go all the way.

Also, once Alessia Russo is back fit and in the number 9 position, even more options for United. Who doesn't want to see the Toone and Russo duo back up top too?

Liverpool travel to North London for their first away game since being promoted back to the top flight.

    Here's a stat for you..

Newly promoted sides have lost their first away Barclays WSL match in 11 of the previous 12 campaigns – the exception was a 2-1 win for Sunderland over Liverpool back in 2015. Promoted sides have lost their last 10 such matches, scoring seven and conceding 24.
