Mohamed Salah has now scored 43 goals in the Champions League just one short of equalling Didier Drogba (44) as the top scoring African in the competition.

Salah is also level with Steven Gerrard as Liverpool's leading scorer in Europe. They both have 41 for the club.

Liverpool have also sent on Stefan Bajcetic, an 18-year-old Spanish defender, and Fabio Carvalho. Thiago and Roberto Firmino the men replaced.

We've not seen much of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this half. This isn't his finest work. He cuts inside from the left and curls an effort from range well wide of goal.

Marseille bring on Sead Kolasinac, Cengiz Under and Issa Kabore for Jordan Veretout, Jonathan Clauss and Samuel Gigot.
