    Watford 1-0 Reading

When Reading come forward it just looks and feels a little frantic .. a little too loose.

Despite being outnumbered they're getting the ball into good positions but the passing around the Watford box and crosses are a bit erratic.

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Rotherham

ALL Sheffield United right now but they can't make the pressure tell.

The home side were clinical as they scored five goals against league leaders Burnley on Saturday but it seems like they haven't brought their shooting boots with them this evening.

    Watford 1-0 Reading

An issue from the beginning of this Championship season for Reading was a lack of firepower up front.

They've scored a healthy 21 goals so far this season, but they've only found the back of the net six times away from home.

    Not ideal.

  4. goal

GOAL Blackpool 0-3 Middlesbroughpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Chuba Akpom (65 mins)

Whatever Michael Carrick has said to Chuba Akpom seems to be working.

It is a fourth goal in four games for Akpom and that has surely wrapped up the three points this evening.

Akpom starts the move by laying it back to Riley McGree, it's worked wide to Ryan Giles and Akpom is there six yards out to steer the cross through Chris Maxwell's grasp.

  5. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 2-1 Hull Citypublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Gavin Whyte (62 mins)

The home side turn it around!

Substitute Gavin Whyte scores his first goal of the season with a header from Callum Robinson's centre.

    Watford 1-0 Reading

We're back under way at Vicarage Road.

    Good game this one.

Watford could enter the top six with a win tonight.

Reading badly need to stop-the-rot after only winning one of their last eight.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Stoke 2-0 Luton

Tom Lockyer almost makes amends for his first half own goal, but he hits the post.

If Luton can find a goal, Stoke's nerve will be tested after three straight home defeats.

    Birmingham City 1-2 Swansea City

Blues have earned their ninth corner of the game.

They need to start making something from these set-pieces.

Tahith Chong has taken over corner duties for this second half but his first attempt is way off the mark.

  9. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Birmingham City 1-2 Swansea City

Ooof it's getting a bit scrappy between these two sides.

Juninho Bacuna takes out a Swansea player and Swans keeper Steven Benda rushes 25 yards off his line to get involved and shout at the referee.

    Calm down lads.

  10. Postpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Rotherham

I suspect Rotherham goalkeeper Viktor Johansson might be a busy man this half.

The Swede makes a fine save to deny Blades defender John Egan's powerful effort.

    Coventry 0-0 Wigan

Coventry are appealing for a penalty as Callum O'Hare hits a shot which hits a Wigan player and there are shouts of handball.

In these confused times of handball, who knows whether that should have been given?

  12. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Birmingham City 1-2 Swansea City

Blues goalscorer Scott Hogan takes an arm in the face from Swans defender Harry Darling.

The referee reaches into his pocket and shows Darling a yellow.

  13. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Rotherham

Just getting back under way in this one after a delay to the start and then six minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

The Blades will go top if they can turn it around.

  14. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Stoke 2-0 Luton

A quiet start to the second half in the Potteries.

Stoke will be happy enough with that. Luton less so.

  15. Postpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    QPR 1-2 Huddersfield

Tim Iroegbunam draws a fine reaction save from Terriers goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.

  16. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Birmingham City 1-2 Swansea City

We're back under way at St Andrew's and Blues have come out firing already.

A powerful low drive from Juninho Bacuna skids just wide of the Swansea goal.

  17. goal

GOAL Blackpool 0-2 Middlesbroughpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Marcus Forss (48 mins)

    Great penalty!

Marcus Forss picks himself up and fires it Harry Kane-style past Chris Maxwell into the bottom corner.

Just a second Boro goal for the Finland striker.

  18. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 1-1 Hull Citypublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Callum Robinson (47 mins)

Dream start to the second half for the home side!

Former Preston and West Brom striker Callum Robinson slides home from 15 yards out after Hull are caught out trying to play out from the back.

Not great from the Tigers it has to be said.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Watford 1-0 Reading

A penalty in the 15th minute from Joao Pedro is all that separates these two sides at the break.

Reading will need to create more chances going forward if they're to get back into this one, they've had to shots on target.

    Still all to play for.

  20. PENALTY TO MIDDLESBROUGHpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2022

    Blackpool 0-1 Middlesbrough

Poor play at the back from Blackpool and it allows Marcus Forss to win a foot race into the area, where he is taken down by home goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.

Maxwell is not convinced there was much contact but the decision stands.
