We had goals in seven of our eight Championship games in that first half.
Let's hope for more of the same as second halves begin to get under way.
AFC Wimbledon have enjoyed a terrific first half against league leaders Leyton Orient. The hosts are 2-0 up at Plough Lane.
It's all square between Harrogate Town and Carlisle United at 1-1.
Bradford City, who have drawn their last three games, have a 1-0 lead over Mansfield Town.
And it's goalless between Rochdale and Salford City.
Watford 1-0 Reading
Reading sneaking in a couple of chances now.
Lucas Joao gets a decent header off towards goal from the edge of the six-yard-box but it's deflected out of play.
Pretty slick out there with the rain falling quite heavily at Vicarage Road.
Sheff Utd 0-1 Rotherham
The Millers take a lead into the break in this South Yorkshire derby.
Ben Wiles' strike, after some VERY charitable defending from the hosts, is the difference between the two teams as it stands.
The Blades will go top if they can turn this around in the second half.
Birmingham City 1-2 Swansea City
Well, well, well ... what a game we have here at St Andrew's.
Swansea have come from behind to lead.
This one could go either way. An exciting second half to come.
Matt Grimes (45+2)
Matt Grimes gets in behind the Birmingham defence and flicks the ball into the back of the net off his weaker foot and Swansea take the lead.
What a way to end the half for the visitors.
Stoke 2-0 Luton
Those two goals in the first 13 minutes from Nick Powell and a Tom Lockyer own goal have Stoke in the driving seat.
In what could be his final half-time team talk for the Hatters, Nathan Jones may need to tap into his inner Michael Sheen and deliver some lyrical Welsh motivation.
Sheff Utd 0-1 Rotherham
Into six minutes of time added on at Bramall Lane.
The home side have the ball in the net but the flag is up for an offside.
QPR 1-2 Huddersfield
The bottom side lead at the break through an unlikely double from Josh Ruffels.
The Terriers full-back smashed in from close range to level after Lyndon Dykes had given the home side the lead in the second minute and then hooked in an audacious second from the edge of the area.
Before tonight the former Oxford man hadn't scored since April 2021.
Coventry 0-0 Wigan
That Kasey Palmer miss right on the stroke of half-time is the reason why this game is goalless after 45 minutes.
Blackpool 0-1 Middlesbrough
Isaiah Jones' goal has Middlesbrough in the box seat heading into the break.
Will they be good enough to see it out in the second period?
Cardiff 0-1 Hull City
Hull City lead at the break through Dimitrios Pelkas' early goal.
Can the Tigers hold out for a first win under new boss Liam Rosenior?
Coventry 0-0 Wigan
Kasey Palmer should have given us a full house of goals in all our Championship games this evening.
A smart touch takes it past his man inside the area, but with only Jamie Jones to beat, Palmer steers it the wrong side of the post.
Birmingham City 1-1 Swansea City
Steven Benda gets a big claw on a shot from Scott Hogan to deny the Blues player his second goal of the game.
The ball landed for him after a superb turn down the line and cross from Tahith Chong.
Blackpool 0-1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough are hunting a second goal.
Chuba Akpom diverts a free-kick just wide while Darragh Lenihan is just off target with his header from a corner.
Boro led at Preston recently and lost, so Michael Carrick will probably be reminding his players of that at half-time if this scoreline stays the same.
Ben Wiles (38 mins)
Well, well, well!
Chiedozie Ogbene tees up Ben Wiles, who is in acres of space in the area, and slots home with great composure.
AFC Wimbledon lead table toppers Leyton Orient 2-0 thanks to goals from Ayoub Assal and Harry Pell.
It's all square between Harrogate Town and Carlisle United, 1-1.
Bradford City have a 1-0 lead over Mansfield Town.
And it's goalless between Rochdale and Salford City at the Crown Oil Arena.
Sheff Utd 0-0 Rotherham
The home side are starting to get on top in this.
Striker Oli McBurnie is again at the heart of things as the Blades look for an opener.
A win tonight would see them go top of the table.
Stoke 2-0 Luton
Having said all that about Harry Souttar, he and his Stoke colleagues have a big escape.
Carlton Morris should halve the deficit but he shoots straight at Jack Bonham from close range.
If there was one man the Hatters would have wanted a chance to fall to, it was Morris. But he can't take advantage.
Stoke 2-0 Luton
Alex Neil made six changes to his Stoke starting line-up this evening, but perhaps the most significant is a first start of the season for Harry Souttar.
It has been quite a day for Souttar, who awoke to news that he would be part of Australia's squad for the forthcoming World Cup.
Souttar did his ACL while playing in a World Cup qualifier for the Socceroos last November and the 6ft 6in centre half has not played since.
When he got injured last season, Stoke were fifth - that shows the influence he has on this team.
