It is Derby's first visit here since 2007 and the Rams wanted to pay their respects.

Derby have a 5,600-strong following here tonight.

When I was here, this competition gave me a chance to show what I could do. Not only show Liverpool but other clubs as well. A lot of the players playing tonight won't make it in the first team here but this is a chance to show other suitors what they've got.

It's a great opportunity for the young players tonight to show what they're capable of.
