    West Brom 1-0 Stoke City

With more than 60% of possession and the lead through Kyle Bartley's header, West Brom are performing as if a place outside the Championship relegation zone depends on it.

Bartley could have scored earlier had he not been denied by the crossbar, and Stoke have twice cleared off the line. The Potters have beaten West Brom more than any other side in their history but they will need a much-improved second half to turn this game around.

    Luton Town 0-1 Rotherham United

The second post-Nathan Jones era at Luton has not begun in ideal style thanks to that Jamie Lindsay strike when many supporters at a sold-out Kenilworth Road had only just taken their seats.

The visitors had gone five without a win before their win at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night. Is a second successive victory on the way? They haven't looked unduly troubled.

    Cardiff City 0-0 Sheffield United

Mark Harris capitalises on a very clumsy back pass to Wes Foderingham and manages to round the Blades keeper but the angle is too tight for him to get a shot away.

Callum Robinson picks the ball up instead, but Foderingham recovers in time to save his effort.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Swansea

The traffic has been going all Swansea's way during the majority of this half - eight shots, four on target, to two from the hosts, with more than 70% possession.

It's Huddersfield though who are enjoying a spell in the box as we head to the break, with Michal Helik getting on the end of Sorba Thomas' free-kick but he sends it wide.

    Hull City 1-1 Reading

Ryan Woods sends a shot wide for Hull, then Jeff Hendrick is booked for Reading.

This has been an entertaining half at the MKM Stadium, with 10 shots between the sides so far.

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke City

In a turn of events that may surprise no-one, Bartley almost scores with a header again.

No prizes for guessing what Alex Neil might be identifying as one danger area for his players.

    Norwich 1-0 Middlesbrough

A good contest as Norwich and Middlesbrough chase the next goal.

Gabriel Sara has put one in the side-netting for the home side as they search for a second, while Ben Gibson got in the way of Isaiah Jones to prevent Boro from levelling.

    Preston 2-2 Millwall

Ched Evans obviously has the taste for goals after ending his drought.

This time, his header is just the wrong side of the post.

Remember, Preston had the best defence in the league. Millwall had not scored in three games and it's all thrills and spills.

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

Bristol City players call for a penalty for a second time as Nahki Wells is seemingly dragged to the ground in the box.

Nothing given again as Nigel Pearson tries to calm his players down from the dugout.

In case you were wondering, the last penalty Bristol City were awarded was at the start of November 2021.

We have some action in front of goal to actually speak of!

It's the Bluebirds who threaten to break the deadlock first. Ryan Wintle has a shot from distance on the volley that goes narrowly wide, before Callum Robinson just misses the target with a header, after a cross from Callum O'Dowda.

    Hull City 1-0 Reading

Reading force another corner but it's Hull who have gone closest in the recent exchanges, Amadou Mbengue blocking an attempt by Regan Slater, who was City's two-goal saviour in their late 3-2 win at Cardiff on Tuesday.
