  1. goal

GOAL: Coventry City 1-0 QPRpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Viktor Gyokeres (11 mins)

It's that man again... Viktor Gyokeres gets his eighth goal of the season and his third in three matches.

Callum O'Hare breaks down the right, gets the ball into the area and it bounces around a little before Jamie Allen feeds it into Gyokeres who shoots it straight into the net.

  2. League Two latestpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

A host of early goals in the fourth tier.

Doncaster lead against Grimsby through George Miller’s sixth-minute strike – his tenth of the season.

Crawley are also ahead through Ashley Nadesan against Barrow and Tranmere are beating Swindon thanks to Josh Hawkes.

Paul Smyth has Leyton Orient's noses in front at struggling Harrogate.

  3. goal

GOAL Hull City 1-0 Readingpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jacob Greaves (9 mins)

Liam Rosenior has his first goal at home as Hull manager!

Jean Michael Seri sends in a corner and Jacob Greaves heads in the opener.

Reading have won one of their last 14 matches against Hull. Conceding from a set-piece inside the first 10 minutes doesn't bode well for ending that run.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

Huge opportunity missed by Tommy Conway and big let off for Watford. Nahki Wells' cross picks out Conway in the six-yard box. He gets ahead of his defender and all he has to do is direct his header down into the goal, but it goes up and over the bar instead.

  5. League One latestpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

Ipswich have started well against Cheltenham and Luke Woolfenden has put them in front.

Oxford are also ahead against Port Vale through Billy Bodin.

  6. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Hull City 0-0 Reading

It's been a quiet start to the game at the MKM Stadium, where Ryan Longman has the first shot of note, seeing his long-range shot deflected wide.

Liam Rosenior will be encouraged by that in his first home match in charge on the back of a two-game unbeaten run to start his Tigers reign.

    Luton 0-1 Rotherham

    Presenter, Squad Goals

Nathan Jones has done really well at Luton. He went to a bigger club in Stoke City and it didn't work out.

I would like to think he has taken that experience and learned from it and I reckon he will do a decent job at Southampton.

It's a similar remit (to Luton) in that it's he a smaller budget, a very young squad at Southampton and will be up to him to put his mark on that team and see what he can do.

  8. goal

GOAL Norwich 1-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Josh Sargent (7 mins)

World Cup bound Josh Sargent puts Norwich in front.

He receives Kenny McLean's pass and finds the bottom corner for his ninth goal of the season.

The USA forward moves level with Scott Hogan, Iliman Ndiaye, Ben Brereton Diaz, Oli McBurnie and Jerry Yates as the division's leading scorers.

  9. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    West Brom 0-0 Stoke

West Brom are chasing a third successive league win today and, potentially, a way out of the relegation zone during the break for the World Cup.

They've gone closest so far, Harry Clarke clearing Jed Wallace's shot off the line. Encouraging for the third-bottom side.

  10. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Coventry City 0-0 QPR

Coventry seem to be starting where they left off against Wigan during the week, on the front foot.

Viktor Gyokeres picks out Ben Sheaf but his shot from outside the area is blocked and then Josh Eccles fires wide on the rebound.

  11. Postpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

Nigel Pearson said this week that some players in his team were not showing enough "moral fibre" after they were booted out of the Carabao Cup by League One side Lincoln City.

A few minutes in and the Robins have already taken a shot - Tommy Conway's low shot was gathered easily enough by Daniel Bachmann in the Watford goal though.

  12. goal

GOAL Preston 0-1 Millwallpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Zian Flemming (4 mins)

The Championship's meanest defence is breached!

The ball is worked in to Zian Flemming in the box, he turns Brad Potts and beats Freddie Woodman for the Dutchman's sixth goal of the season.

What a start for the team from South London.

  13. Carrick 'taken to management like duck to water'published at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Joe Thompson
Former Rochdale and Tranmere midfielder on Squad Goals

We asked the question when Michael Carrick was appointed by Middlesbrough how would he do, but he's taken to management in the Championship like a duck to water.

Middlesbrough have really had a resurgence of late.

Boro are three games unbeaten for the first time this season, with two wins and a draw.

  14. goal

GOAL: Luton Town 0-1 Rotherham Unitedpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jamie Lindsay (1 min)

    Lightning start for Rotherham!

A piece of trickery from Ben Wiles - the Millers' matchwinner in their historic 1-0 win at Sheffield United on Tuesday - launches a move that culminates in Jamie Lindsay scoring with a splendid volley inside the penalty area.

The Scottish midfielder slides towards the away end on his knees to celebrate with the ecstatic Rotherham supporters!

The worst possible start for Luton in their first game after Nathan Jones' second spell in charge.

  16. Losers will be in bottom threepublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wigan 0-0 Blackpool

The stakes are high for this one between 23rd and 21st at the DW Stadium as whoever loses will be in the bottom three for a month.

Rob Kelly is in charge for Wigan following the sacking of Leam Richardson in midweek on the back of six defeats in seven games.

As for Blackpool, three straight defeats have pushed them towards trouble.

Will it be a nervy affair or will both sides go hell for leather?

  18. Squad Goals League Two game of the daypublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

Grimsby Town v Doncaster Rovers (15:00 GMT)

    Gab Sutton
    Squad Goals

The last time Grimsby and Doncaster met in the league, a John Marquis hat-trick saw Rovers to a 5-1 victory at Blundell Park: the penultimate result en route to securing their promotion destiny in 2016-17.

This short trip east might not be quite as memorable as that one for Donny fans, though the first two league performances under Danny Schofield - a 1-0 defeat by and victory over Stevenage and Gillingham respectively - offer encouragement.

The League Two play-off chaser’s FA Cup outing holds less encouragement, with defeat by the same scoreline to National League North leaders King's Lynn - but it was a different story for Grimsby.

Winger Brendan Kiernan was deployed down the middle for Paul Hurst’s side against Plymouth Argyle, flanked by Otis Khan and Harry Clifton, and the result was a 5-1 thumping of League One’s frontrunners.

  20. Armed forces quartet to officiatepublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

Cambridge United v Bolton (15:00 GMT)

Matches across the EFL will mark Remembrance Weekend today with tributes due to be paid before kick off.

Cambridge's tie with Bolton will have an extra level of significance, with four members of the armed forces officiating the match.

RAF Sergeant Darren Drysdale will referee, assisted by Army Corporal Declan O'Shea and Captain Steve Finch. The Royal Navy's Chief Petty Officer Scott Jackson will be fourth official.

The four officials have a combined total of 98 and a half years of service.

"There will be something quite moving stood shoulder to shoulder during the pre-match ceremonies with guys that have lived through and felt the emotion of sacrifice on operations," said assistant referee O'Shea.
