    "We were resilient in the first half.

    "We didn't start the second half as we wanted and then we are chasing the game and it is difficult to break down a good side.

    "The shape change maybe didn't suit us.

    "We had a couple of moments but didn't have cutting edge or belief around the box."

    Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson told Sky Sports:

    "I am really pleased to get the win.

    "It was a difficult game, Cardiff came with a game-plan, sitting back with a 4-5-1.

    "It was difficult, but we had great energy.

    "At half-time we spoke about being more dangerous and we scored the goal and probably could have scored more goals.

    "Well done to the boys, it was an excellent result, a great way to start the year with a win.

    "Bradley Dack has had two terrible injuries. I had a terrible injury and couldn't get back.

    "It was great for Bradley to get the goal."

    There wasn't much between the two sides to be honest, that's how crazy it sounds.

    Cardiff just didn't have enough movement up top, they just stood static and waited for something to happen or waited for a midfield player to try and pick a pass.

    If the goalkeeper can go 80-90 minutes without making a save then something needs to happen.

    It's a disappointing result for Cardiff.

    I just look at the movement up top for Cardiff and there's just nothing there.

    There's got to be movement.
