Let's get away from England despair and back to your favourite World Cup moments...

I don't know what Gareth Southgate will be thinking.
I haven't spoke to him, but I sense he will brush himself down, get through Christmas, and then kick on again.
He is building something here and it would be a shame. It is a job that weighs heavily because there is a lot of expectation and it can be tough.
My gut feeling is that he will carry on because if someone comes in and wins the Euros in 2024 he'll be absolutely choked.
Here's a quick look at Gareth Southgate's record at major tournaments with England:

Gareth Southgate's legacy will be good.
He will be the man that came in at the right time and built a togetherness and got a respect for this young England side. It is the way they handle everything, both on and off the pitch.
He will come out of it very well. He will be very fondly remembered. But I hope he is even more fondly remembered by saying on and winning the European Championships, and then, who knows, maybe even the World Cup. We can dream!
Rio Ferdinand, Didier Drogba and Alan Shearer are in agreement with you, Gary.

I hope that Gareth Southgate stays with England. I think it is right that the decision is down to him.
He has done a really good job. You have to consider where we were a few years ago. Everyone thinks it is an easy job and thinks I'd have played him, not him, or I'd have brought him on earlier. It is much easier in hindsight.
Gareth has done a really good job. The only thing you would say about him is that he hasn't changed a game dramatically when it isn't going well, but you could argue against France that it was so tough to call.
We've got some fabulous young players, one of the stars of the tournament has emerged in Jude Bellingham. I thought him and Declan Rice were incredible. I'm pretty convinced we'd have been in the final if we'd edged past France.
World Cups are not like leagues though. In a league the best team always win. In a World Cup it is a knockout. Take Manchester City, probably the best team in the world, but they haven't won the Champions League, and that is despite having the best coach in the world in Pep Guardiola. Nobody would say get Pep out because that would be mandess.
We haven't won the World Cup but we're going in the right direction. We're playing really good, attractive football with lots of good young players. Why would you change it now?
This morning we asked you to vote on whether or not Gareth Southgate should be kept as the England manager.
The votes are in...
717 of you said he should stay. 298 voted to let him go.
BBC Sport pundit Gary Lineker agrees with the majority of you...
Beth Mead, BBC Women's Footballer of the Year for 2022, has extended her contract with Arsenal, the club she has been with since 2017.
"This club is home for me," said Mead.
"I've grown so much here as a player and a person and I know we can achieve so much more together in the years to come."

Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall has praised England star Beth Mead after confirming her new contract at the club.
"It’s wonderful news that we have agreed a new deal," he said. "She is a world-class footballer and has proven that on the biggest stage of them all.
“I have so much admiration for the way she has handled success and adversity on and off the pitch over the past few years, and I’m sure she will approach the next few months with the positive attitude we all know Beth for.”
England forward Beth Mead has signed a new contract with Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has penned "a multiple-year deal" with the Gunners.
She is currently recovering from an ACL injury, sustained in the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last month.

Florencia owns an Argentine cafe in York and will be shutting early on Sunday to watch Argentina face France in the final of the World Cup.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live she says the one person on everyone’s minds is Messi: “My sister was saying to me that every child in Argentina has been sleeping in their Messi T-shirts every night.
“The general feeling of the country is that we want Messi to win it. "He plays for the team but he also plays for the t-shirt, when he plays for Barcelona he plays with his heart on the t-shirt.
“I think in this World Cup he wants to win it for the nation, for the country, for his team…it’s pretty wonderful.”

It is good that we've had sides from every continent in the last 16. Morocco getting to the semi-finals was extraordinary really, if they had a striker they could have won the tournament. That is good to see.
But, we have ended up with two of the usual suspects in the final.
Football wise, there has been some fabulous moments. There has been good games, some not so good games, but as with most tournaments a few of the big stars have really turned up.
Lionel Messi has been absolutely breathtakingly brilliant, and Kylian Mbappe, who has been exciting. There has been some great individual performances.
Let's get back to talking about Sunday's final between Argentina and France.
And remember to keep sending us your favourite moments so far.

A group of 16 with 3 teams is a departure from the Hee-Chan inspired ecstasy at the Education City Stadium and a return to the gory days of the Disgrace of Gijon just 4 decades earlier! Perish that thought!!

In response to Gianni Infantino announcing plans for a new 32-team Club World Cup from 2025, the Premier League has pointed to a statement from November 2021, external.
At the time they said clubs were "unanimously opposed to Fifa’s proposal" for biennial men’s World Cups and significantly extended international windows.
Clubs were concerned about "the negative impacts Fifa’s current proposals would have on player welfare, the fan experience, pre-season preparations and the quality of competitions".
The Premier League said it was "committed to preventing any radical changes".
They have not seen any formal proposals around the new competition and will continue to engage with Fifa via the World League’s Forum to ensure there are no radical changes to the international calendar that affect the domestic league structure and player welfare.
They would expect meaningful agreements to be reached with the leagues before anything was signed off.
Gianni Infantino said a lot there.
Here's a recap of the major points:
That's everything from the Fifa president today.
We'll give you a quick summary of the main talking points from his press conference.
Finally from Gianni Infantino, who is asked what he'll take from this World Cup: “You should ask the people who came here from different continents.
"What has been achieved here in the Middle East has been quite unique. Everyone goes home with a nice memory and I am sure they will come back.
"Only the World Cup can do this in such a massive, massive way.
"It has to be an ambition and mission of Fifa to organise its events in new countries."
