National League Boreham Wood went further than any other team outside the top two tiers of English football last season.

The Hertfordshire club beat League One AFC Wimbledon and Championship side Bournemouth on their way to the fifth round, where they lost at Everton.

Luke Garrard's side are enjoying another fine run and host League One Accrington Stanley for a place in the fourth round.

Boreham Wood, 13th in the fifth tier of English football and the lowest-ranked club left in the competition, will be confident of claiming another Football League scalp after winning at League One Bristol Rovers in the last round.

Ex-Liverpool midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester played some good stuff in the final 20 minutes, they looked a threat. But they had to go through an awful lot of hard work to get this result.

It was a game that was played in really good spirit with just that one moment of quality that was the difference.

  4. 'Quality from Leicester when they needed it'published at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    FT: Gillingham 0-1 Leicester

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Just about enough, when they needed it, they had that bit of quality. Iheanacho with a great finish once it had got through to him in teh box.

This team, spearheaded by the defensive organisation of Williamson, they should be very very proud.

You think they would use this performance to spearhead a recovery for the rest of the season in the league.

It was all about that end product for Portsmouth - or lack of it. They were excellent in the first half, limiting Tottenham to very few chances. The worry was, second half, with the energy levels dropping and the quality that Tottenham have, you'd think Spurs would improve their performance and that's exactly what happened.

Harry Kane was the difference, as he is so often for Tottenham, and they probably could have gone on to get a second or third goal to make it a little more comfortable.

    FT: Gillingham 0-1 Leicester

Brendan Rodgers and his players are out on the pitch in front of the away end showing their appreciation to Leicester's travelling fans.

Many of them have received a soaking from the rain but they've seen their side return to winning ways.

As for Gillingham, they will hope to use this performance as a springboard for the rest of the season. Their focus now is staying in the EFL. On this evidence, they've got every chance.

There's a lot of things [interim boss] Simon Bassey will be happy with and a lot of things the Portsmouth fans can be positive about moving forward. It'll be interesting to see who comes in and gets the [manager's] job but there's certainly something to work with.
