Oliver Skipp should score, it's quite simple.

I thought there was a possible offside but he needs to show a bit more composure, go with the sidefoot. He just lashes at the ball and blazes over the bar.

  4. CLOSE!published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Portsmouth

Huge chance for Oliver Skipp to double the advantage, but he blasts over from close range.

Jake Turner is having a great game in goal for Gillingham. The keeper is the younger brother of Manchester United's WSL player Millie Turner. He's just made another fine save to frustrate Jamie Vardy.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-2 Southamptonpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    Adam Armstrong

    A gift from Palace!

Vicente Guaita makes a real mess of Joachim Anderson's back pass, dwelling on it to allow Adam Armstrong to close him down. When the kick does come, Armstrong sticks in a boot to divert the ball into his path for a finish into an empty net.

From 1-0 down to 2-1 up. There's life in Southampton yet!

    Save!

Saints are giving this a go now!

Ainsley Maitland-Nile's cross is flicked on by Adam Armstrong and his effort is drifting towards the far corner of the goal until Vicente Guaita sticks out a hand on the dive to push it away.

  10. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Portsmouth

Japhet Tanganga just throws Colby Bishop to the ground and concedes a free-kick on the halfway line rather than risk losing out in an aerial battle.

Portsmouth are doing their best to try and get out, but referee Thomas Bramall ignores Owen Dale's claims for a free-kick after he's brought down by Ben Davies as he threatened to break away on the right.

  11. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    Crystal Palace 1-1 Southampton

Oh, almost an opening worked by Saints.

Some neat passing is so close to giving Romain Perraud a shooting opportunity from an angle, but he can't quite control the ball inside the box.

  12. Preston levelpublished at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

Four minutes after going behind and Preston are level.

It's a great cross in from former Liverpool midfielder Ben Woodburn whose ball is headed into his own net by Huddersfield defender Tom Lees.

    1-1. Game on!

    Tottenham 1-0 Portsmouth

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Red Button

It's not as easy now for Portsmouth to retain possession. Tottenham have increased their energy when out of possession, they're closing the ball a lot quicker.

Portsmouth are finding it much more difficult to get out now [of their own half].

  16. Postpublished at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Portsmouth

Bryan Gil can be great to watch when he gets his head down and has a run at a defender or two. He kickstarts another Tottenham attack, which sees the home side win a free-kick in a central position around 25 yards out.

Son Heung-min fancies it, but that's never troubling Joshua Griffiths.

Terriers forward Florian Kamberi fires past the keeper from six yards out. Are the side in the second-tier's relegation zone on for a mini upset?

    Gillingham 0-1 Leicester

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

It was scrappy and it bobbles but it was Iheanacho, the predator, in the box, ready to take advantage.Gillingham have done so much right.

Turner makes a good save, he had to rely on his defence to mop up everything else. It's a sweet strike from Iheanacho and this will be a test for Gillingham. What is their reaction now?

Gillingham have to stay organised and gamble at some point.

Another good ball in from Leicester. Tielemans had a couple of yards to work the cross and Leicester had the overload.

There was no danger Iheanacho was missing from there. Leicester have the lead, now they can relax.
