  1. Early exits

EIGHT Premier League clubs have fallen at the first hurdle in the FA Cup this weekend:

    Everton

    Crystal Palace

    Bournemouth

    Nottingham Forest

    Brentford

    Newcastle United

    Chelsea

    Aston Villa

And there is still one more tie to go. Arsenal are at League One Oxford United on Monday (20:00 GMT).

  2. 'Players need to show they belong in a Chelsea shirt'

    FT: Man City 4-0 Chelsea

    Alan Shearer

Former England striker on BBC One

Chelsea were nowhere near good enough. It's a big week coming up. They have got Fulham and Palace in their next two league games. They have to show more than they showed today. We said it, we know they have injuries.

With so many it is tough for them but that doesn't stop the players on the pitch putting a shift in, having an attitude, showing they belong in a Chelsea shirt. So the next two games are so important for them.

  3. Post update

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

Great scenes on the pitch as Stevenage's players celebrate in front of 3,000 travelling fans from Hertfordshire. Steve Evans' side will play at Championship club Stoke in the fourth round.

  4. Late, late show

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

    87 mins: Villa 1-0 Stevenage.

    87:34: Villa 1-1 Stevenage.

    89:53: Villa 1-2 Stevenage.

    The FA Cup never disappoints.

  5. 'I can't see any positives from this performance from Chelsea'

    FT: Man City 4-0 Chelsea

    Izzy Christiansen

Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I don't know what Graham Potter will say in his post-match interview.

I can't see any positives from this performance from Chelsea today. I saw them competing with Manchester City in the first 15 minutes but as soon as they conceded, they capitulated.

It became a goal-fest for City and I actually think they could have scored more - it looked like they were reserving themselves.

  6. 'A very good day'

    FT: Man City 4-0 Chelsea

    Manchester City

Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez, who scored twice, speaking to BBC One: "It's good to have played the way we played, to score four goals and keep a clean sheet, it's a good day for us.

"I was going to take the first penalty but Julian [Alvarez] asked me so of course he took it. He's a striker, he needs goals so it's good for him. The second one, I wanted to take it.

"Everyone has been involved and it has been very good. Every season we try to be involved in every competition. We're still in all the competitions and have to keep going."

  7. 'Stevenage fully deserve win'

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is the stuff of the wildest dreams for Stevenage fans. They would have thought, come to Villa, this would be their final.

They have defended so well. They fully deserve to go through.

  8. FULL-TIME

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

They've done it. A day they will never forget for Stevenage. The League Two club have embarrassed seven-time winners Aston Villa.

  9. Post update

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

Villa are on the brink of losing in the FA Cup for an EIGHTH successive game. Inexcusable.

  10. Post update

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

Deep into six minutes of stoppage time. Stevenage are almost there.

  11. 'Easy goal'

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Stevenage have hung in there. They made sure it didn't go to 2-1 and defended really well.

They find themselves a corner then Villa are on asleep on it. Easy goal.

  12. Post update

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

Villa fans are shell-shocked. The Premier League club have dominated possession but they're heading for yet another third round exit. Their League Two opponents are in dreamland.

  13. FULL-TIME

    Man City 4-0 Chelsea

Easy, easy, easy for Manchester City. Riyad Mahrez with a sublime free-kick, Julian Alvarez with a penalty, Phil Foden finishing off a delightful team move with Mahrez adding a late fourth from the spot.

A horror show from Chelsea and these are tough, tough times for boss Graham Potter.

  14. 'Fair play to Stevenage'

    Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fair play to Stevenage. They have stayed in this game.

They never gave up and defended properly. Fully deserved. Organisation has been great during this game.

Mark: Never mind Thomas Tuchel, is Ted Lasso available?

Mat: No disrespect to Potter, but Chelsea sacking of Tuchel was an absolute downgrade. Tuchel was in a process of building and now we are seeing the collapse. We've seen too many examples of such premature sacking that leads to failure. Haven't they learned already?

  16. Post update

    Man City 4-0 Chelsea

Riyad Mahrez gets Jermaine Jenas' vote as man of the match - and fully deserved. Mahrez has been sensational, scoring the first and fourth.

  17. GOAL - Aston Villa 1-2 Stevenage

    Dean Campbell

    Another upset incoming!

Stevenage looked like they were going out moments ago. Now they're on the brink of a huge upset.

Dean Campbell beats the keeper with a drilled finish and the 3,000 travelling Stevenage fans are going wild.
