Tottenham boss Antonio Conte will miss today's game, with assistant boss Cristian Stellini taking charge again.

Conte, 53, rushed back following emergency gallbladder surgery two weeks ago and has been in the dugout for defeats by Leicester and AC Milan.

In an Instagram post, the Italian said he had "underestimated the procedure".

Conte went on to explain that his "great sense of responsibility towards the club, the players, the staff and the fans" had seen him return too early.

Stellini, who oversaw Tottenham's 1-0 win over Manchester City, said: "The stress of it all, it created some problems.

"When he spoke to the doctor they said he needed to take it easy. He will be back soon but not as quickly as he would like.

"We have a call every day, maybe three times a day and every time he wants to come back.

"It's more important than football and this is the reason why the club, Antonio and the doctors made this decision. We don't know the time.

"Antonio not 100% is not Antonio, and this creates stress."

Henry: ETH is a true coach - he makes the players he has better. Many top managers nowadays (Conte, Tuchel) are tacticians not coaches.

Dan: Martínez, Rashford, Lindelöf, Fernandes, Shaw, De Gea. All have been flawless today.

Brilliant day for Manchester United, big big win. It was comfortable. Players got minutes off the bench, really good performance.

They moved from second to third gear and I now feel, at full time, there is an extra two gears they could have gone to but they didn't. That should excite Manchester United fans going into this week that they are in.

This has been a very enjoyable second half for Manchester United because of some clinical finishing.

Now they face the biggest week of Erik ten Hag's short tenure.

The first 15 minutes could have been very very different. If Leicester had converted those first couple of chances they had.

I'm seeing signs in Leicester's play that resembles really good attitude, playing as a team. There have been some real moments of quality, especially from James Maddison.

Big moment for Mainoo, substantial minutes as well.

He is coming into the middle of the park at 17 years old, he has 10 minutes to find his rhythm and feel the game. Really good opportunity for him.

Josh: Ten Hag has got United fans buzzing for each match. Home or away. No matter the opponent. When beaten (which has been rare) it’s a case of being outplayed not outrun - much more acceptable. Standards are high, as are spirits.. trophy count hopefully too at the end of the day.

Luke: The resurgence of players like Sancho, Rashford and Wan-Bissaka under Ten Hag shows what an incredible leader he is. Lesser managers would write those players off. ETH obviously listens to them and finds out what they need to succeed.
