  1. Thanks and good nightpublished at 22:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

That's all from us for tonight.

We'll be back again tomorrow for more Champions League fun, with Chelsea one of the sides in action.

There's also the small matter of Arsenal v Man City in the Premier League!

  2. Postpublished at 22:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    AC Milan

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli: “It wasn’t hard to prepare this game tactically, with all the duels, but I am very happy with how my players performed.

"We could have scored a second goal – we had some clear chances. I am definitely happy with the performance but it’s only the first leg and the next game will be surely more difficult.”

  3. Postpublished at 22:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster made his first Champions League appearance since December 2013 (for Celtic v Barcelona), 3352 days ago, the second longest gap between appearances for an Englishman in the competition after Scott Carson (6182 days between 2005 and 2022).

  4. 'I know the difficulty of playing here'published at 22:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte speaking to BT Sport:

"I think it was better today and high intensity and I think we played against a good team and don't forget Milan last season won the league in Italy. I think that to concede the first goal we can do much better. Instead we concede a goal after maybe only 5 minutes. Then we try to lead the game and create a situation to score but I think Milan defender very well. We created the chances to score but in the end we are talking about a defeat, a loss."

On Pape Sarr and Oliver Skipp: "I am really satisfied for both players because they played a really good game and they showed the trust that we have in them and they repaid it. Don't forget now we have just three midfielders and we have to continue with them maybe until the end of the season. The performance from Sarr and Skipp makes me more relaxed because I know I can count on them 100 per cent and we have Pierre Emile Højbjerg who is a key player."

On trailing going into the second leg: "For qualification you have to play two games. It is the first game away and the atmosphere was fantastic. I know the San Siro and I know the difficulty to play with this atmosphere. In the second game we have to play at our stadium and our fans will create the atmosphere to help us overcome the Milan obstacle."

  5. Postpublished at 22:37 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham are the first English side to lose four Champions League knockout stage games in a row since Arsenal between 2016 and 2017, with Antonio Conte’s side failing to score in each of those fixtures.

  6. 'Sarr was Spurs' best player'published at 22:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Surprised, very, very pleasantly surprised by Tottenham's midfield duo and I feel like a lot of Spurs fans will feel the same way.

Skipp was very neat and tidy, he did all the sensible things, not trying to overdo it. But Sarr really caught the eye, he was everywhere. His energy was great, his utter confidence and arrogance on the ball – he was playing some World Cup 40, 50-yard balls across the pitch and they were coming off.

It is not normal it is a young player coming in who is fourth, fifth choice [to stand out like that] he was given an unexpected chance and was probably Spurs' best player on the night – the manager will be delighted as well.

  7. 'We can make it a dangerous tie at home'published at 22:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp speaking to BT Sport:

"I enjoyed every minute of it, not the result we wanted but there is a second leg to come and we are right in the game so we will take the positives. Nice to make my debut, from the start anyway, playing in the Champions League is what you dream of as a kid.

"It wasn't the best start. I think after 10 minutes, it was a goal we didn't need to concede. Neither side created too many chances I feel, but there's a second leg and something to come back from."

On Antonio Conte trusting him and Pape Sarr to start: "I think we would have delivered with a win but me and Pape [Sarr] did well and it's nice to have the manager's trust. Hopefully we repaid it.

"There were a couple of times when they were dangerous on the counter attack, threats from forward runners. We had loads of set pieces into the box and created chances.

"It's only the first leg, we're still in it and we know with our fans that we can make it a dangerous tie at home."

  8. Postpublished at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern Munich

Bayern continue to motor in this year's competition.

They have won all seven matches in the 2022-23 Champions League. The Germans are the only side on a 100% winning record this edition.

  9. 'Spurs are still in the tie'published at 22:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It wasn't a bad performance from Spurs, they didn't create enough. You could argue they could have got a draw.

The understanding from the front three wasn't there. It's about getting here and still being involved in the tie.

Spurs are still well in this.

  10. Postpublished at 22:15 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern Munich

PSG have now lost three successive fixtures in all competitions for the first time since August-September 2020, when they lost three in a row under Thomas Tuchel.

  11. Postpublished at 22:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: PSG 0-1 Bayern Munich

Something isn't entirely right at PSG right now.

They have a W5 D1 L5 record in all competitions in 2023, after they had remained unbeaten in all 23 games in all competitions before the World Cup (W19 D4).

They've got a huge second leg coming up if they are to end that long wait for a Champions League trophy this season.

  12. Postpublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    FT: AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

The Milan players seem happy enough. They are lapping up applause and adulation from equally pleased home fans.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

This tie remains very much in the balance.

Milan have the lead they wanted thanks to Brahim Diaz's early header. Tottenham will have seen enough to believe they can overturn it back in London.

  14. Postpublished at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

That could well be that. Emerson Royal's ball forward for Harry Kane runs out for a goal kick.

  15. Postpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

Into the final minute of added time. Probably enough left for one last chance.

  16. Full time in Parispublished at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

FT: Paris St-Germain 0-1 Bayern Munich

Advantage Bayern, despite having Benjamin Pavard sent off for a second yellow following a clumsy late lunge on Neymar.

PSG were better in the second half, but that is now three straight defeats in all competitions.

  17. Postpublished at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane finally gets a small sight of goal, but before he can get a shot off in the box Simon Kjaer is on him to block.

  18. 'Leao's final product too limited for top clubs'published at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

The fans love him, and I know why they would love him. He's a special player and he does special things. He glides brilliantly and you think Wilfried Zaha and players like that, he has that beautiful way of beating players.

But that final return is much, much too limited for the top teams to consider him.

  19. Postpublished at 21:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

We've had three of the added six minutes. Spurs are on the front foot.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2023

    AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham

Richarlison angers the home crowd as he goes down a bit too easily to win a free-kick in the Milan half. The reaction of Theo Hernandez to the incident earns him a yellow card.
