They work the overload really well Leipzig. It just falls to probably the wrong man in the wrong place and he just doesn't hit the target.

But he just gets it wrong. That's much, much better. That's the best chance of the game by a mile.

Now City have something to think about!

Ederson is forced to dive out and push the ball away Timo Werner's low cross, aimed in the direction of Emil Forsberg in the middle.

We have a game, ladies and gentlemen.

They've come out it he second half with more purpose, more intent. You don't need the ball to have that.

It's a decent cross into the box and the header over but it's more about the fact that they're getting in behind City now.

    Massive chance!

RB Leipzig have come out swinging and they fashion a golden opportunity for Benjamin Henrichs. He is in all the space he needs and has all the time he requires to slot in from inside the area, but instead he drags his shot across goal and wide.

    RB Leipzig 0-1 Man City

A proper threat from RB Leipzig!

They win the ball and drive in down the left before a cross is sent over for Benjamin Henrichs to rise and head over.

Could the home side make this a contest?

    Inter Milan 0-0 Porto

Nicolo Barella almost gives Inter the lead. The supposed Liverpool target watches a ball come over his shoulder and hooks a volley just wide of the far post.

That's a great chance for Manchester City. Gundogan sets the ball back and there's just too many bodies in the box.

They need to be careful not to give the ball away in those areas, Leipzig, because City can pounce on it.

Porto have a former England Under-20 international on their bench.

Danny Loader, who also goes by Namaso, joined Porto in 2020 after leaving Reading. The 22-year-old, who is a forward, has played plenty of games this season.

    City denied a second!

They work it down the left after Nathan Ake's well-timed tackle but after Ilkay Gundogan pulls back for Riyad Mahrez, his shot is blocked.

Already there's a bit more edge to the Leipzig press. They've hooked the ball down the channel.

I think they're looking to play a little bit more direct.

City have had all that dominance but there weren't many clear-cut chances.

Well, the home side have at least come out with a bit more intent. They stage a decent attack that sets Timo Werner away, but he is steered away from goal and can only send in a tame shot that is blocked.

In the big game of who has more Champions League goals, I can tell you that Riyad Mahrez (20) has now scored more than Julio Ricardo Cruz, Luis Enrique and Ole Gunnar Solskjær (each 19) and as many as Cesc Fabregas, Fernando Torres, Gareth Bale, Marco Simone and Nicolas Anelka (each 20).

I simply don’t understand how City can spend gazillions on their defence and it still be a worry.

    Steph Houghton
    Manchester City and England captain

I think the way that City are playing and the control they have, they have put pressure on Leipzig and stifled their chances to go forward.

But there have been openings and chances where they could have got at them. I think City need learn the lessons from the weekend, being 1-0 up.
