What an appreciation for Haaland's talent. He shows so much commitment to the team.
Is Haaland the problem? Clearly not.
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
Not going to lie, I'm a bit disappointed to see Erling Haaland come off.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a double hat-trick in a live game. Robert Lewandowski scoring five goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg was the most I can remember before now.
Porto 0-0 Inter Milan (0-1 agg)
60 minutes on the clock. Where is this going? Inter have defended really well - and now the Italians have won a corner. Can they finish this tie off?

Pep Guardiola can always look to his bench and give players the chance to get up to speed.
He has an incredible squad and it doesn't matter who comes on, it's never weakened.
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
There will be no double hat-trick.
Erling Haaland gets a standing ovation as he's replaced by Julian Alvarez.
Sergio Gomez and Kalvin Phillips come on for John Stones and Rodri.

I had only just gone back to find when Erling Haaland last scored four goals - it was for Borussia Dortmund two seasons ago - when he scored his fifth. He has never done that before as a professional.
This guy is the most ridiculous goalscorer I think I have ever seen.
That is 39 for the season now. 39! The season was stopped for five weeks because of the World Cup and we are not at the March international break yet.

The Haalinator!

Porto 0-0 Inter Milan (0-1 agg)
No goals yet unfortunately but at least this tie still has some intrigue about it. A Porto goal will make things very interesting.
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
Erling Haaland is the third player to score five goals in a single Champions League game after Luiz Adriano in October 2014 (Shakhtar Donetsk vs BATE Borisov) and Lionel Messi in March 2012 (Barcelona v Bayer Leverkusen).
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
Erling Haaland is now the joint 25th top scorer in Champions League history with 33 goals.
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
After one of those goals, I've lost track, City brought on Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden for Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan.
Porto 0-0 Inter Milan (0-1 agg)
Martin Keown is on commentary duty for BT Sport for this game. He's just heard Manchester City are 6-0 up inside an hour. "It's getting like a cricket match," says the former Arsenal defender.

Get him off! He won't stop scoring goals.
He's always in the right position. Again, it's just bits in the box and the ball just falls to him.
He might score two perfect hat-tricks tonight.
Man City 6-0 Leipzig (7-1 agg)
Erling Haaland is now Manchester City's top goalscorer in a season ever.
His 39th goal takes him past Tommy Johnson's 38 in 1928-29.
Erling Haaland (63 mins)
There's a glitch in the matrix.
Erling Haaland has his fifth goal of the game as he turns in another rebound from a Janis Blaswich save.
Porto 0-0 Inter Milan (0-1 agg)
Porto are enjoying loads of possession but they cannot hurt their opponents. Inter are using the counter well and Nicolo Barella goes close to doubling the aggregate lead with a vicious attempt from the edge of the box.
Man City 5-0 Leipzig (6-1 agg)
That is Erling Haaland's 38th goal of the season, which is a joint record for a Manchester City player.
Tommy Johnson netted 38 for City in 1928-29 and has held that record alone for close to a century.

I don't even think City have gone into a march in this second half they are just walking through them.
Bernardo Silva, one of the smallest on the pitch, keeps it alive and Janis Blaswich makes two good saves but unfortunately, it falls to Erling Haaland.

Feels like having Haaland in the knockout stages will be cities final peice in the puzzle and will make the difference. Just think if they’d had him in Madrid last season…
