    Preston 0-1 Spurs

It's been all Spurs attack since the goal but a couple of times the ball just doesn't land right in the box.

  4. 'What a goal'published at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    Preston 0-1 Spurs

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

Wow. What a strike that is. With his left foot.

Tried with his right foot in the first half then left. Keeper got to them. Bends it into the corner

Not this time. What a goal. Keeper had no chance.

    Son Heung-min

    Boom.

Son Heung-min gets his seventh Spurs goal of the season and it's a screamer.

Spurs have a nice move down the right and Son drops back into a pocket of space. Japhet Tanganga finds him and the South Korean hits a sweet strike from almost 30 yards out that flies into the corner of the net.

    Preston 0-0 Spurs

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

Ched Evans has done so well. Same as the first half. He was looking around and no-one was there so he had to try and keep a hold of the ball.

    Preston 0-0 Spurs

This would have been an unlikely scorer. Spurs defender Clement Lenglet, making his FA Cup debut, gets the ball about 30 yards out and hammers the ball over the bar. Preston didn't seem too worried about the danger there.

Welsh names, penalties and celebrity fans: Wrexham's Hollywood owners visit the Racecourse

We have to wait until Sunday to see how Wrexham - the last surviving non-league club - get on against Championship club Sheffield United.

The team from the fifth-tier National League have become big news since Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's shock takeover two years ago.

The pair brought a camera crew along to document their first full season in charge, with the hit series Welcome to Wrexham watched by millions in the United States.

As a result, the north Wales club - close to extinction as recently as 2011 - have attracted a legion of fans from North America and a follow-up series is due for release later in 2023.

"Our job is to make sure the second series is as exciting as possible," Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson tells BBC Sport.

"There are a few good episodes on our FA Cup run alone."

  11. Son improving?published at 18:58 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Son Heung-min has had a really poor year, but there have been positive signs from him today.

He's had no confidence, but I'm seeing sparks, turns, shots on targets to think 'that's the Son I remember'.

  12. 'We were always dangerous'published at 18:58 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

FT: Bristol City 3-0 West Brom

Robins manager Nigel Pearson told BBC Radio Bristol: "The result is very important of course but the fashion in which we played is also one of great encouragement for everybody.

"We've had our troubles in terms of consistency of performance this year but I think the players deserve a lot of credit for how they've been able to put together a very efficient performance against a good side. We looked dangerous throughout.

"It was quite exciting to watch but in order to do that you need a lot of discipline behind and I think that's what pleased me today, we were disciplined, we worked hard and when we had our opportunities we really made them work."

On two-goal 20-year-old Sam Bell: "He's in a good place and has been for a while. He's needed the chance and competition has been such that it's been hard for him to break in but now is his opportunity and he's doing everything he can to take it."

Tottenham have dominated the ball but in the final third, they’ve been a disaster.

  14. Preston 'well organised and frustrating'published at 18:56 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    HT: Preston 0-0 Spurs

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Preston have been well organised. They've got bodies in front of the ball, a couple of very important blocks.

The manager will be pleased with the way they set up, but could possibly want more going forward.

  17. 'Preston know what they are doing'published at 18:53 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    HT: Preston 0-0 Spurs

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on BBC One

The three at the back, Storey, Lindsey and Hughes, know exactly where they need to be.

It has been a back five, not a back three. We knew Spurs would have more of the ball.

  18. 'We might have won it'published at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    FT: Luton 2-2 Grimsby

Grimsby boss Paul Hurst: "I'm proud and really pleased for the players, for the football club in terms of there'll be some more income generated, and the fans.

"You say going into the game, it's great, you want to test yourself, [but] there's also an element of realism about what can happen as Luton are a fantastic side.

"You want to give a good account of yourself and I think the players certainly did that. There's no doubt we had to give possession up, but I do think we performed well, played some good football and towards the end, perhaps the game could have had a winner."

  19. 'We've got to do it the hard way'published at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    FT: Luton 2-2 Burnley

Luton manager Rob Edwards: "We seem to do it the hard way in the FA Cup. We've done it once in the third round, we're going to have to go and do it again in the fourth.

"We didn't get the first contact from the set-piece and we had to do it a different way and come from behind. We adjusted well, got the two goals, I'm really disappointed with how we reacted after we scored the second goal.

"It's not like us, it's uncharacteristic of us to switch off, we didn't win the first ball, the second ball, it dropped to them and we could have defended it better. Credit to them, but we've got to do better in that moment."

  20. 'Preston have done really well'published at 18:50 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

I think as expected, Spurs have had the possession but Preston have done really well. They know what they need to do and are performing well.
