    Rotherham 0-0 Sheff Utd

There's a break in play with seven minutes gone as Grant Hall and Iliman Ndiaye clash heads just past halfway.

A nasty one but looked to me like there was no malice in it. Just an unfortunate coming together.

Ndiaye is down receiving some treatment.

    An absolute shocker!

Norwich trying to play out from the back and keeper Tim Krul literally passes the ball straight to Burnley striker Anass Zaroury on the edge of the box.

The 22-year-old takes a touch, looks up and fires the ball into the back of he net.

  13. Kompany thinks Burnley can be even betterpublished at 12:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2023

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany says his squad can continue to improve and he doesn't want to get bogged down in points tallies

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany’s side top the Championship table and have had a stellar season, but the Belgian is trying not to spend too much time thinking about points tallies.

They take on Norwich today who have ambitions of their own as they look to break back into the top six.

“There's a few teams - Middlesbrough, West Brom, Norwich to an extent - which have squads that are terrific for this league and when they get it right, they get a lot of points," Kompany told BBC Radio Lancashire.

“We're going to play against a team with a lot of momentum so it will be as tough as it gets for us.

“The points we have is one side of the story. It's been challenging. I just don't want to get dragged into looking at points.

“We have to have a team that wants to get better every day. Do I still think we can get better? The answer is yes. Do I think we'll get more or less points? I don't know but I think this team can get better still.”

  14. Can Rotherham pull off a rare league double?published at 12:16 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2023

Rotherham v Sheff Utd (12:30 GMT)

    RotherhamImage source, Rex Features

Sheffield United are helping to set the pace in the Championship at the minute but Rotherham have the chance to set a rare milestone against the Blades today.

Should the Millers win, it will be their first league double over Sheffield United since 1980-81.

It's a tough ask, however. Sheffield United have lost just once in their past 13 league games and are unbeaten in their past eight.

They've got some staying power, too. Today's visitors have scored more goals post-90 minutes than any other second-tier side this term.

Norwich head coach David Wagner has two wins from two since taking over in the new year

Norwich will be feeling confident entering the game against Burnley after securing two emphatic back-to-back wins under new head coach David Wagner, but he’s taking nothing for granted and knows his Canaries have a challenge on their hands in his first home league game since taking charge.

“This is a top team that has only lost two games.

“We meet a top opponent, a big challenge, but I don’t like to focus on the opponent.

“I like to think more independently.

“Whether it is a top of the league or bottom of the league, home or away, we shouldn’t care about this.

“We must make sure we respect all of our opponents and play our style and our identity to the highest level.

“For me, there is not a shadow of a doubt that there will be a special atmosphere for the early kick-off.

“If you want to create something extraordinary on the pitch you need something extraordinary in the stands and hopefully both will come together on Saturday.”

  16. Are Norwich playing Burnley at a good time?published at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2023

    Norwich v Burnley (12:30 GMT)

Seventh-placed Norwich enter the game high in confidence after back-to-back wins under new manager David Wagner.

Although the Canaries haven’t won at Carrow Road since the end of October they do manage to score in bunches in-front of home fans with 29 goals at home this Championship season, compared to 11 away.

A statement win today could thrust them back into the top six.

Meanwhile, Burnley have been pretty unstoppable.

Sitting neatly at the top of the table with a five-point lead of chasing Sheffield United and a 17-point cushion over third-placed Middlesbrough, Vincent Kompany’s men have almost rubber-stamped their card back into the Premier League.

But the Clarets are dealing with a few injuries at the moment and needed last-minute goals to win their last two league fixtures.

Lock yourself in - we can’t wait for this one.
