West Ham v Chelsea (19:15 GMT)

Back to tonight's game in Dagenham and it sounds like both managers expect West Ham to provide a real challenge for Chelsea.

Both sides came through tricky away ties in the quarter-finals to set up an all-London affair in the semis.

Paul Konchesky's West Ham progressed thanks to Dagny Brynjarsdottir's last-minute winner at Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea overcame another rival from the capital, beating Tottenham 3-1 with a double from Sam Kerr and Fran Kirby coming off the bench to score the other.

Wiegman guided England to European Championship glory on home soil last year, the team's first major trophy.

The Dutchwoman, who also won the Euros as Netherlands boss in 2017, has won the Fifa Best Award twice before, in 2017 and 2020.

Sonia Bompastor and Pia Sundhage are the other two finalists.

  8. Chelsea's unbeaten streakpublished at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2023

West Ham v Chelsea (19:15 GMT)

We mentioned that West Ham are unbeaten in their last three games. Not bad but that's small fry compared to their opponents tonight.

Chelsea have not lost in 19 games since a shock defeat at Liverpool on the opening weekend of the WSL season.

It might not be quite the same level of surprise if West Ham ended that unbeaten run tonight but Chelsea are certainly strong favourites.

They've also won their last nine games against the Hammers...

Paul Konchesky says West Ham are "closing the gap" on the Women's Super League's top sides.

The Hammers are seventh in the WSL but drew 0-0 with third-placed Arsenal at the weekend and are unbeaten in three games.

"We've done well in this cup and hopefully we take it one step further and get to the final," said Konchesky.

"My team have shown they can compete with the top teams. We know we have goals in our team and can keep clean sheets.

"We're closing the gap to those that are traditionally at the top, and hopefully we can give another really good account of ourselves on Thursday.

"Our ambition is that we want to close that gap and that means getting to semi-finals and maybe one step further to get to finals.

"We're here for a reason. We know it will be tough against Chelsea, but if we perform to the levels we know we can reach then why can't it be us?"

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes has praised the fighting spirit of Paul Konchesky's West Ham ahead of this evening's game.

The Hammers held title-chasing Arsenal to a goalless draw in the WSL at the weekend and are aiming to reach the Continental League Cup final for the first time.

Hayes' Chelsea are looking to reach a fourth consecutive League Cup final.

"He's got an underdog mentality with that group and they know they're punching hard for him and the club," she said.

"I think Paul's done a great job with them, they're organised out of possession and they've got a tonne of threats, especially in the transition and on set-pieces," she added.

"Our team are very, very clear about how hard it is going to be to score a goal against them. We know that there's a cup final place at stake and we have to be very much up for this."

  12. Blues aiming for a fourth straight finalpublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2023

West Ham v Chelsea (19:15 GMT)

A 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in last year's final denied Chelsea - to borrow a term from American sports - a three-peat in the League Cup.

Emma Hayes' side triumphed in 2020 and 2021, beating Arsenal at the City Ground in the former and dismantling Bristol City to win 6-0 at Vicarage Road in the latter.

They'll be keen for a repeat of that 2020 final against Arsenal, who have won the competition on a record five occasions.

Arsenal are waiting to play the winners of tonight's match in the final at Selhurst Park on 5 March.

They played Manchester City in the first semi-final last night, it went to extra-time before Stina Blackstenius scored the only goal of the game for Jonas Eidevall's side.

And as chance would have it, we have the highlights from that game for you right here...
