    • The goals are hard to find elsewhere. We've drawn a blank at the rest of today's games at Blackburn, Wigan, Rotherham and Hull. Expect a goal avalanche after the break.

QPR have been resolute at the back and they almost venture forward to great effect, but Sam Field's shot is deflected behind by Boro defender Paddy McNair.

  10. Gills ahead in League Two basement battlepublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2023

    Rochdale 0-1 Gillingham

    Joe Thompson
Former Rochdale and Tranmere midfielder on Squad Goals

I said before Christmas I was worried about Rochdale and I am worried about them because the teams around them are picking up little wins.

It's a difficult game to go into, it's high pressure, but they really need to get the three points.

I don't know what the answer is in regards of what to do.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2023

    Blackpool 1-0 Stoke

Chris Maxwell has probably kept his team in front at half-time.

That is a big save to stop Will Smallbone equalising from close range.

  12. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2023

    Rotherham 0-0 Coventry

These are the kind of chances struggling sides need to convert.

Jordan Hugill has a free header 10 yards out but it's straight at Coventry goalkeeper Ben Wilson.

A let off for the away side.

  13. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2023

    Middlesbrough 0-0 QPR

The home side have not yet had a shot on target.

Ryan Giles curls over a dangerous free-kick, but nobody gets on the end of it and it bends beyond the far post.

There are few gimmes in the Championship!

    Sunderland 0-0 Bristol City

Sunderland are piling on the pressure in the closing minutes of the first half as the rain hammers down at the Stadium of Light.

    Wigan 0-0 Norwich

Norwich goalkeeper Angus Gunn is earning his money today.

He denies Callum Lang again, while Will Keane can only put the follow-up over the bar. Will Wigan come to regret not converting one of these chances?

  17. Postpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2023

    Luton 0-0 Burnley

    Now that IS wayward finishing.

A cross falls to Luton striker Elijah Adebayo right in front of goal but he can't keep his effort on target.

The league leaders should trail at Kenilworth Road!

Just over five minutes left in the first half and it remains goalless.

Very few chances for either side.

    Swansea will be happy.

    Blackburn not so much.
