Not much fuss, this is a team that wants more trophies. They will take a step closer to another one with a win today.

The biggest cheer was for Sir Alex Ferguson, presenting David de Gea with an award for breaking the club’s clean sheet record. There were also individual awards for Casemiro and United women keeper Mary Earps.

We’ve also had a minutes applause for legendary commentator John Motson before kick off.

Then the game starts and it takes 30 seconds before the first ‘Glazers Out’ chant of the match.

"Every game has been really important. Our focus is only on tonight. We need to be ready for this big game.

Billy Sharp is a lovable selfish centre forward who wants to play in every game. He is a box player, his movement in there is fabulous and he has great technique as well.

    Alan Shearer

The players who are playing on a regular basis, the ones you would class as a first XI - look at the atmosphere here - they would want to play in this but you also have to look at the bigger picture.

My 606 co-host Robbie Savage says Erik ten Hag is the best manager in the world following Manchester United's Carabao Cup triumph.

Ten Hag is doing an excellent job but I can't help thinking Robbie has got a bit carried away there, just for a change.

I can see why Manchester United fans are getting excited about what is to come, though. I also see them winning this tie pretty comfortably.

West Ham got a big win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday but they are still in trouble at the bottom of the Premier League table and they will definitely make changes with their weekend trip to Brighton in mind.

The Hammers looked more like the team they were last season with the way they attacked Forest, but we might see their second-string at Old Trafford and the result will reflect that, with a routine home win.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0

West Ham manager David Moyes has praised the work Erik ten Hag is doing at Manchester United.

Moyes, who managed the Red Devils between May 2013 and April 2014, said: "Manchester United are a side that is used to success.

"I think they are climbing the ladder back up to where they want to be.

"[Ten Hag] has to get a lot of credit for the work he is doing. I can only look from a distance and admire the good work he is doing."

  19. 'Special night'published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2023

Sheff Utd v Tottenham (19:55 GMT)

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom has said he expects their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Tottenham to be a "special night".

The Blades are second in the Championship, while Tottenham are eight-time FA Cup winners.

"We have to perform in a way that gets the fans up and at it. There'll be moments when we have to suffer without the ball," Heckingbottom told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I think it will be a special night regardless of the result."

He added: "It's one that all of us should enjoy because if we don't enjoy it we're not going to win anyway. It's not a distraction from the league, it's a good change."
