Alex Greenwood has been playing so well for Manchester City for a while but didn't get into Sarina Wiegman's starting XI at the Euros. She will be desperate to change that for the World Cup and that was an example of what she can do when given a chance. Excellent play on the left and an assist for Alessia Russo, who did what she does best: scoring goals.

Alex Greenwood does well to keep the ball in and play a lovely little cross.

Alessia Russo has clocked that the Koreans haven’t really tracked to that near post.

It’s a lovely little flick. That’s just what we are used to seeing from Alessia Russo.

Alex Greenwood does well down the left-hand side to pick up the cross from Lauren James and feeds in to Alessia Russo in front of goal.

The Manchester United forward gets in front of her marker and it's a lovely chipped finish.

    England can enjoy themselves, now.

Already England moving the ball a lot quicker in this second period to combat that South Korea defence which are still sitting so deep.

    It's much better.

    It’s beautiful. It’s lovely.

    Chloe Kelly (45 mins)

    Well, not a bad start.

Straight from the off Chloe Kelly picks up the ball, drives at the box and digs out the shot which loops over the head of the goalkeeper.

It took a big deflection but the Lionesses won't care.

What a start, that took all of 16 seconds.

The Lionesses are wearing their individual legacy numbers on their shirts tonight.

The FA introduced the idea in November with the 227 players who have played for the Lionesses were assigned a number from the order in which they played for their country.

The gesture was done to mark the 50th anniversary of the team's first international, against Scotland on November 18, 1972.

Sue Buckett, the goalkeeper in that game, was awarded number 1.

The most recent England debutant, Katie Robinson, is number 227.

It's actually quite hard to believe that this is only Lauren James' third international cap.

She plays with such confidence. She's been everywhere this evening.

Beth Mead’s absence is a big one given the form she was in, especially during the Euros but I am really liking Lauren James’ role.

She has looked a threat every time she has got on the ball.

I am seeing a player there that is going to provide a really good option for Sarina Wiegman in the World Cup.

Fancy a bit of half-time reading?

The Lionesses' 2022 could not have been more perfect.

Their record read - played 20, won 16, lost 0, scored 72 and conceded seven.

They won a historic European title, as well as qualifying for the World Cup with a 100% record having not conceded a goal.

The Lionesses will fancy their chances of extending that run this month with games against South Korea, Italy and Belgium to come. But which teams have given England their biggest test?

We take a closer look at some of those tight encounters where Wiegman's side almost came unstuck.

Spain? Germany? Norway? Or maybe the USA?

Lauren James has been phenomenal. She has been such a pleasure to watch.

She is such a creative player, she looks like she is playing with freedom and confidence and she looks like she is happy to put it on display, where maybe in the past she has been apprehensive to fully express that.

Positive stuff from England, loads of chances but it's a Georgia Stanway penalty that has broken the deadlock in Milton Keynes.

I'm not a fan of a short corner but that was a nice little exchange between Alex Greenwood and Ella Toone to play a one-two.

Toone finds Chloe Kelly on the edge of the area but the shot is straight down the middle of the goal and into the arms of the keeper.

Georgia Stanway is quickly becoming a very reliable penalty taker for England. She struck that so confidently. England took a while to break South Korea down but the floodgates might open now. They have been utterly dominant.

I love that decisiveness from Stanway, you can count on this girl.

    No mistake.

What a well-struck penalty from Georgia Stanway, low and hard into the back of the net.

Pace, precision and goalkeeper Kim Jung-mi had no chance of stopping that one.
