South Korea will pose a test much like what the Lionesses will expect to see when they face China at the World Cup.

A technical and very quick side. They’re looking to transition and they’ll press high. I am expecting an intense game today.

South Korea manager Colin Bell has been speaking to ITV4 about being back in England: "It’s very enjoyable. First time since 2019, so it’s four years and I’ve been able to catch up with my family which is very nice."

On what he expects from the tournament: "It’s going to be tough. We are playing against the best team in the world this evening in my opinion. I have players who are on off-season so it’s going to be a big challenge but I think we can learn from all three teams. Three really good teams so we can learn a lot."

On England: "Best team, Sarina has done a fantastic job, the FA made a brilliant decision in getting Sarina. She has added that extra quality and it is a really strong team. English football is booming in women’s soccer and that was an attraction in experiencing the atmosphere. We will be ready for them in August or July if we get them."

South Korea come into this game in a pretty decent run of form, with a run of five games unbeaten and just one loss in their last eight matches.

They are the second-highest ranked team in the tournament and narrowly lost out to China in last year's Asia Cup final, the first time they had ever got to the final.

They'll be looking to cause an upset here.

Tottenham midfielder Cho So-hyun is missing the Arnold Clark Cup with South Korea through injury.

But she has personally brought 200 tickets for Korean fans to attend their match against Belgium in Coventry.

She attempted to do the same for this game against England at Stadium MK Dons but the tickets were already sold out.

The 32-year-old Manchester City midfielder won the second of her two caps in 2015 under former head coach Mark Sampson.

However her good club form has earned her a recall from Sarina Wiegman and she will take her place on the bench this evening.

"It was a shock but now I'm here, I'm ready to get down to work," Coombs said.

We will try some combinations of players in the next three matches and get a lot of information about the team and the individuals to move forward and get ready for 22 July."

On missing Keira Walsh: "Keira has been very solid [in defensive midfield position]. Hard to replace but we have enough good players to do so. Today, Leah [Williamson] will try some things."

On England’s attacking threat without Ellen White or Beth Mead: "I think we are very lucky to have such good attacking players on the wings and also in the centre. It’s not only the task of the forwards but I hope we are going to see some creativity and some goals too."

Arsenal's Leah Williamson will captain England tonight for the first time in her hometown.

She was born in Milton Keynes and grew up in Newport Pagnell, a town in the northern part of the city.

She went to two schools in the area and began her football career at a grassroots team in Northamptonshire, about 30 miles from the city, before eventually moving to Arsenal's centre of excellence.

After guiding the Lionesses to Euro 2022 glory, Williamson was given the freedom of Milton Keynes and a mural is painted of her in the city.
