For England to not win the Arnold Clark Cup title for a second year running, they would need to suffer defeat - which hasn't happened under Sarina Wiegman in 28 matches.

Wiegman was asked this week whether the time for experimenting was over in this match with the trophy on the line.

Her response, as usual, was balanced.

She has rotated again - though it is returning to a stronger team - and she still wants to try out things with the World Cup in mind.

But this would be a third successive trophy win for England - something they do not want to miss out on.

  2. Good eveningpublished at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2023

England could win their first bit of silverware should they avoid defeat this evening.

Standing in their way are Belgium and both sides have won both of their games in the Arnold Clark Cup so far.

England's unbeaten record under Sarina Wiegman stretched to 28 games with a comfortable four-goal win over South Korea before a tricky 2-1 victory over Italy on Sunday, where Rachel Daly's double put the Lionesses in control of the competition.

A draw would do this evening for Arnold Clark Cup victory, but a win would get their World Cup preparations off to the perfect start.

Can they do it? Let's see.
