Chelsea 0-0 Aston Villa
Huge chance for Villa.
Ollie Watkins beats the offside trap and is clean through with only Kepa to beat.
He pulls the trigger...and pulls it wide. How crucial could that miss be?

Chelsea 0-0 Aston Villa
First sight of goal for Mykhailo Mudryk who forces a good save from Emi Martinez who gets down well to block.
Chelsea 0-0 Aston Villa
Free-kick for Villa about 25 yards out but it sails harmlessly into the arms of Kepa. Then Boubacar Kamara picks up an early yellow for a cynical foul on Kai Havertz who was in full flight.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I didn't know [that this was his 100th win as Gunners boss]. It is a beautiful number and we go for the next one.
"We had a few things going on with some individuals. It has been a concerning few days because we could not decide until this morning if some players would be available and the line-up. After an international break you do not know if they are in the frame of mind to come back and do the things necessary to win this league. I am really happy with the performance.
"They made it tricky for us. We lost the ball in bad areas to a team that put four really fast players than run in transitions. After, we took control of the game and we're really good in the boxes today.
"I am so happy for him [Gabriel Jesus] after all the work from him and the staff throughout the last five months. Today, he got rewarded for that.
"A lovely header [from Granit Xhaka]. The timing and the ball in. He has the capacity to do that. Now he has scored three I think in the last four games. Really good.
"We were aware [of Man City's result] as it is a huge game and we wanted to watch parts of it. But when we got here it was just to focus on us and what we can do as a team. They are used to it. We can only control what we can do."
Chelsea 0-0 Aston Villa
Confident start by Chelsea. Villa have hardly touched the ball when Ben Chilwell produces a cross-shot which comes to nothing. Then captain Mateo Kovacic lashes one over the bar.

Image source, Getty ImagesUnai Emery says Aston Villa's recent run of form has given his side an "exciting" opportunity to climb into the Premier League's top 10.
Villa, who have not recorded a top-half finish since returning to the top flight in 2019, have taken 10 points from their past four games and started the weekend in 11th.
Villa boss Emery said: "We are in the same position, still 11th, but really close with the same points as Chelsea and close to the other teams who are having very good seasons, like Fulham, Brentford and Brighton.
"When I arrived here, we were struggling at the bottom of the table.
"The reaction from the players, the club, the supporters and the coaches was amazing. We are now clear of the bottom positions and now we can think that our new challenge is to be in the top 10."

Leeds United
Leeds manager Javi Gracia, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We competed well in the first half, from the beginning. After the first goal, we were still in the game, creating chances and defending well. The penalty changed the game a bit and in the second half, when we conceded that early goal everything changed and it was tough for us to manage.
"I have the players that I have [fit]. I didn't want to complain before the game and I do not want to complain now. I have very good players and I believe in all of them. We have the players to compete. The way we competed today, maybe better in the first half. We have to do it as well as possible in the next. We have another game in three days and we have to be ready for that.
"Nobody has any doubt about the commitment and desire of my players. They show that in all of the different performances. We will do it in the next game and I think maybe a better result.
"I don't look at the table and the other teams. I try to be focused on ourselves and prepare for the next game. Don't waste energy on others, just ourselves."

Image source, Getty ImagesChelsea must be patient with winger Mykhailo Mudryk and see how he performs over the long term, says former Blues striker Andriy Shevchenko.
Mudryk, 22, joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in an £89m deal in January and has one assist and no goals from six Premier League games so far.
"Chelsea have bought a talented player when he is very young, for the future," said Shevchenko. "He's just starting his path in a massive football career.
"He's part of an ambitious project. He's in good hands. The decision to get him right now was down to how much the club believe in his talent."

Nottingham Forest
Forest boss Steve Cooper to BBC Sport: "There's always the result and performance.
"I'm frustrated with the result because we should have scored two or three more goals and disappointed with the goal we conceded. Ricochets didn't land for us.
"We were comfortably the better team, superior in every way and created all the real chances. Performance-wise, I'm really pleased.
"If we continue to perform like that we'll have more successful days.
"Brennan is really thriving in his first season in the Premier League. We got into some really good positions and you have to.
"It's a missed opportunity. The dressing room is a bit down."
On Daniel Podence's alleged spit: "I'm not going to comment on it publicly. I'm sure there will be next steps."

Arsenal
Arsenal defender Ben White, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:
"I don't watch football so I was just focussed on the game today and that was it.
"There's a lot of noise going on outside, and everyone is just keeping it very quiet and just getting on with what we are doing.
"I don't really know what's right or wrong, I have never been in this position [competing in a title race] before. So we are just keeping quiet, heads down and working hard."

At one stage it would have been fair to say that pretty much all of the Aston Villa team were on trial for next season.
However, after an upturn in form under Unai Emery, players and fans alike can be excited for the team's development over the coming months. Despite this positivity around the club, Leon Bailey has really struggled for consistency and is one player who I feel is playing for his future.
Fleeting moments of quality point to there being a really effective player in there somewhere.
However, these moments have been too few and far between, leading to much frustration in the stands. Heavy rumours linking various wide forward players with the club would indicate that, even if Bailey stays, he will be facing even more competition next season.

Bournemouth
Bournemouth goalscorer Marcus Tavernier to BBC MOTD:
"It's been a tough couple of months for me getting injured and then coming back and getting injured again.
"I think the team's performance showed that in the second half that we are here to stay in the division."
[On his goal] "The first thing that came to mind first was to get on my left foot and hit it and I'm just happy it went in.
"We're full of belief at the moment, in the last two games you can see that. If we carry on playing like that we have a good chance."

Brendan Rodgers can do anything he wants and still not get sacked yet play bland boring football. Win, lose , goal, save he just stands and does his little clap. I beg you Board, remove this toxic trash from our beloved club!!!

Wow, serious pressure on Brendan Rodgers now.

Leicester are in the relegation zone and it feel like a critical month coming up for the Foxes. They have back-to-back home games against Aston Villa and Bournemouth. Then it's Manchester City away followed by Wolves at home. They round off April at Leeds.

Arsenal
Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, speaking to Sky Sports: "Everyone is playing so well. It is easy to come back. The most important thing is that everyone that has come in has played good.
"I want to score every game, you know. But sometimes it can't happen. I am more happy with the three points than the goals. Congrats for the team. Zini [Oleksandr Zinchenko] joked with me yesterday, because we were practising penalties and I just took that one like I always do, stopping. He said 'in the game, you never do it like this', so I showed him clips. I was calm and I remember him as well.
"To compete against a strong opponent and a team that scores a lot of goals, we look at this. We said before the game not to look at goal difference and focus on the points. But sometimes you have to try and score more and more as it might matter at the end of the season."

Chelsea were unbeaten in four games before the international break and, while the improving mood at Stamford Bridge was punctured slightly by the late equaliser scored by Everton in our last game, things are certainly much happier than they were a month ago.
Graham Potter will be keen to keep that momentum going when we face Aston Villa and, in all likelihood, he would have preferred to keep a similar set-up to the one that was bringing success before the break - with three central defenders unleashing our wing-backs and Kai Havertz playing alongside Joao Felix as a narrow inside forward behind a "false nine" striker.
But football is rarely that simple, and we already know that some changes will have to be made.

Forest scorer Brennan Johnson to BBC Sport: "The overriding emotion is disappointment.
"It's good to play in these big games but we couldn't bring the three points for the fans.
"When chances come like that, and not too many come in the Premier League, I really concentrate on getting the finish off."
On Daniel Podence's late alleged spit at him: "I think it's just high emotion. I don't remember it clearly. I don't want to talk about it too much. I saw a motion come from him but they looked at it and it didn't happen."
Six games down. One to go. Chelsea-Aston Villa is coming up in 20 minutes. We've had 24 goals so far and loads of drama. Will we see more at Stamford Bridge?
FT: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Wolves
Wolves
Wolves goalscorer Daniel Podence: "Best league in the world. We have been doing great work.
"I'm very happy with that and a goal today. We had a difficult match in front of us and we got one point in the relegation fight.
"It was very frustrating because we had a lot of the ball but they had the best chances. I was looking at the time and we had a lot of time to win this game.
"I played against Forest last year in the cup and this year the matches have been brutal in terms of decisions, which are very complicated against us and make us feel frustrated. Morgan has a bit of joy to provoke our fans. It's difficult to explain this rivalry."
