  1. Forest's instant reactionpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 22 April 2023

    Liverpool 1-1 Nottingham Forest

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Anfield

I wasn't expecting the visitors to hit back quite so quickly.

Liverpool's defence got sucked across to the right, which gave Neco Williams far too much space to exploit.

The Forest fans are making plenty of noise now. Most of it backing manager Steve Cooper.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Not much to get excited about at the start of the second half so far at Selhurst Park.

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds, Leicester and Everton striker on Final Score

Ultimately, if you don't shoot, you don't score!

Neco Williams took the opportunity there.

Is it a deserved goal? No, it's been one way traffic [in Liverpool's favour]. But it just shows that possession doesn't mean anything.

    Neco Williams

Neco Williams against his former club! Nottingham Forest are level at Anfield.

It all comes from a Forest throw-in which is played across to Williams flying down the right. His effort on goal is helped by a big deflection of Andrew Robertson which means Allison cannot keep it out.

The atmosphere around this game in the first half was so relaxed, the half-time music was still playing long after the second half had started.

That probably suited Nottingham Forest, who I am sure would have taken a point at the start.

    It wasn't very entertaining though.

Now Liverpool have the lead, Forest will have to sharpen up.

  8. 'Three points can completely change outlook of the table'published at 16:07 British Summer Time 22 April 2023

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on Final Score

When you look at 16th down to 20th there was one win in the last 25 games between five teams, that win is keeping Leeds just above the rest of the pack.

There's a lot of red boxes down the bottom of the table, and no team seems to be able to get an all important win.

Just three points can completely change the outlook of things down the bottom of the Premier League.

    Seconds after the restart!

Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner results in a bit of head tennis in the Nottingham Forest box. Eventually Fabinho nods it across goal where Diogo Jota heads in his third goal in two games.

    Liverpool hit the front.

  15. Alisson the goalkeeper-central defender pivotpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 22 April 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Anfield

We are getting used to full-backs moving into central midfield, that was a case of a goalkeeper turning into a central defender.

It wasn't as if there was no-one around Alisson when he went to head that ball late in the first half. There was plenty of jeopardy in that situation.

    Leicester 1-1 Wolves

    Leicester almost take the lead!

Iheanacho curls one towards the far corner after cutting in from the right but Jose Sa gets across the save. The Portuguese spills the effort but does well to sprawl at the feet of Patson Daka and deny him a chance of converting the rebound.
