Brighton midfielder Billy Gilmour speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I took my opportunity. It's hard to fill Alexis and Moises' job but I just had to take my opportunity.

"When they've played I've studied them and what they do in my position. When I've been in training I've done it . To get the opportunity to try that today, it was good."

On bouncing back: "We were absolutely gutted about Wembley and then on to Nottingham, maybe it was still on us a bit. We knew we had to put on a performance and I think every single one of us was brilliant."

On Julio Enciso: "He's crazy. I call him crazy. He's a very, very good player, very talented, and he'll only get better. The way he trains and plays, he is showing the fans what he is capable of. He's taken the opportunity."

Going forward: "I need to keep focusing on myself, help the team when called upon. We want to finish as high as possible."

  3. 'Great feeling to score'published at 17:13 BST 29 April 2023

    FT: Brentford 2-1 Nottingham Forest

    Brentford

Brentford's matchwinner Josh DaSilva: "We didn't start too well but as the game went on we started to play well. We changed the formation a little bit and got more players forward. Two goals and we got the win. We're happy.

"The ball came out to me and I just took my man on. Great feeling to score.

"Thomas Frank just said to keep the width and make it hard for them. They were hard to break down so we got it in the wide areas where are strengths are.

"We've done [that formation change] a few times this season and it's gone well for us.

"The first half was a bit of a slow start but we created lots of good opportunities. We used half-time to calm down, reset and go again. It's cliche but it's a game at a time. Forest were a tough opponent for us today.

"I was pretty sure I wasn't offside so wasn't sure where it came from. You create your own luck sometimes.

"It's possible mathematically [for Europe] but we are obviously relying on other teams to lose which we can't control."

Do not forget that, with that win, Brentford bring up 50 points. What a job Thomas Frank has done at West London's highest placed club.

It is the first time Brighton have scored six or more in a top-flight game.

The star of the show was their 19-year-old Paraguayan, whose price probably triple over the afternoon, Julio Enciso.

Going down to 10 men with the Danilo injury and not able to make a sub, that didn't help.

Brentford have not really been on their levels but I think Keylor Navas could have done better with both goals.

They are going to be very disappointed because for the most part they were very good.

Big celebrations from Brentford. They reach a brilliant 50 points and sit ninth in the table.

Steve Cooper painfully applauds the travelling support but his players are distraught as they head for the tunnel as quickly as they can.

The worst possible way to lose. Forest are crushed. They led 1-0 for 82 minutes but go back to Nottingham without a single point.

They sit a point above the relegation zone.

Leicester City, Leeds United and Everton fans across the country are all Brentford supporters tonight.

    Josh DaSilva (90+3 mins)

Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! This is a HUGE goal which could lead to Nottingham Forest's relegation.

Josh DaSilva, on as a substitute for Brentford, cuts inside off the left and smashes it past Keylor Navas.

It nestles into the bottom right corner but there's a VAR check for a potential offside...
