That just about does us for now.

With Blackpool and Wigan's victories, we didn't see a relegation confirmed in the Championship today or, indeed, in League One either.

However, Rochdale's time in the EFL has come to an end after their defeat by Stockport.

Could we have the first name confirmed to replace them from the National League tonight? Wrexham take on Boreham Wood knowing they are on the verge of a return to the EFL for the first time since 2008.

You can follow live coverage of that game here.

Meanwhile, we'll be back tomorrow as the Championship continues as West Brom take on Sunderland.

For now, thank you for joining us.

This is how the top of the Championship table looks after Saturday's fixtures.

Blackburn now go on to face champions-in-waiting Burnley in midweek knowing that they really need to win and use their game in hand to keep up their play-off push.

Preston's late equaliser keeps them in the mix for a top six spot, but with just two games remaining, it could get tight as the season draws to a close.

I think that's Blackburn's play-off chances over now. They have to play the likely champions on Tuesday.

Preston got a goal at the end because they worked hard for it.

Both teams gave us as much as they could give but Blackburn need to learn how to see the game out.

When Ryan Hedges goes through one-on-one with the keeper at the end, the last thing you do is try to chip it - you hit it low and hard so it's got a chance of going out for a corner.

I doubt Blackburn will have the energy to go again on Tuesday (against Burnley). I don't think I've seen a game with so much effort put in by both sides this season.

I think it's a fair result in the end. I have expecting Blackurn to win but they've made a mess of a counter attack and the ball was in their net seven seconds later.

Congratulations to the players for all the effort they put in.

    Preston 1-1 Blackburn

    All over.

That's a smash and grab equaliser if I've ever seen one! And in a Lancashire derby, too!

Preston keep in the Championship play-off fight as Dominic Hyam's late own goal gifts them a point right in the dying moments of this game.

Sammie Szmodics had given Blackburn the lead but they couldn't hold on and they remain outside the top six.

    Dominic Hyam own goal

    Drama!

Preston have been woeful in this second half but it only takes one chance and they've taken it!

Ryan Hedges at the other end, squanders a chance and Freddie Woodman collects the ball, launches it upfield, Preston shoot and it cannons off Dominic Hyam and into his own net!

    So close to a leveller!

Ali McCann toe pokes from the edge of the Blackburn box and almost sends it into the net but Rovers keeper Aynsley Pears makes a diving save.

Can Preston score a late equaliser or are Blackburn going to end a five-game winless run in the Championship?

    Preston 0-1 Blackburn

Alvaro Fernandez launches a ball from long range into the Blackburn box.

Liam Delap lets it go when he could head for goal in order for Brad Potts to try his luck but the ball sails past him and out for a goal kick.

Was that Preston's best chance to get anything out of this game?

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

Blackburn's Joe Rankin-Costello goes into the book for a robust derby tackle on Ben Woodburn.

    Five minutes to go.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 84 mins

    Another Preston change.

Josh Onomah is replaced by Liam Delap as Ryan Lowe throws the kitchen sink headed into the final stages of this game.

Preston are headed up to fifth as it stands.

    Preston 0-1 Blackburn

A tale of two points of the season? Upon the return to action following the World Cup, Preston dominated as they walloped Blackburn at a snowy Ewood Park.

Tonight North End are staring down defeat against their Lancashire rivals and their play-off hopes could suffer a massive blow, here.

Ryan Lowe's side have been well of the pace since the restart.

I don't know if North End can respond. There have been too many tactical changes, with three or players playing several positions in the past 10 minutes.

Sammie Szmodics has been the best player on the pitch in this second half.

    Breakthrough!

That's been coming. Blackburn have dominated this second half and Preston go to sleep once again.

Sammie Szmodics races towards the box and works onto a low delivery and has time to turn and beat Andrew Hughes before rolling the ball with his right foot into the net.

    Another Preston change, now.

Adam Wharton and Joe Rankin-Costello combine as Blackburn make another run into the Preston box.

But Ali McCann puts in a last-ditch tackle to deny the visitors.

You have to wonder how much longer the hosts can hold on, here.

Ryan Hedges floats a ball into the Preston box and towards the onrushing Ben Brereton Diaz.

But the Chile international can't get a head onto it.
