Two-goal Jarrod Bowen, speaking to BT Sport, says: "You always have to be on guard and 2-0 [after the first leg] is difficult as you know they would come here and go for it.

"If you then concede the first goal you are then on the back foot. Getting the first goal helped us then in the second half to put the game to bed, it was a proper performance."

On being left out of the England squad, he added: "It's one of those things. These things take care of themselves. I've done nothing to get in there.

That is a really big, big opportunity for Arsenal. Leandro Trossard is through on goal and as he tries to play it across the goalkeeper just gets enough on the ball and it ricochets off the post.

WHAT A CHANCE!

Leandro Trossard is gifted the ball by a stupid pass from a Sporting player. The Belgian is able to run in goal and steady himself before shooting but his effort hits the arm of Sporting keeper Antonio Adan and then hits the post before being hammered clear.

Ben White does really well to dispossess Francisco Trincao and then looks to play a really simple ball to Fabio Vieira and just overhits it.

Argh, frustration for Arsenal!

Ben White wins the ball high up but his pass to send Fabio Vieira in on goal is too heavy.

Two Sporting changes. Pedro Goncalves, the scorer of that wonder goal, limps off. He looks to have cramp. Dario Essugo replaces him.

Fabio Vieira doesn't really how much space he has in the box there and he tries a little flick and it just doesn't come off.

I would expect that Arsenal will try to get a grip of the game because in the second-half they couldn't get a hold of the game.

If they can do that they can get Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard on the ball.

Fabio Vieira, take a look up!
